A month later.
I drive the car steady; with a smile plastered on my face. An eager smile. Eager to meet him.
Its been a week we haven't met, and I badly want to share so much with him.
As I see the place at a little distance now, my smile gets brighter. I park the car safely near a tree and look at the white flowers at the back seat.
I sigh. And lean to grab them. I hold them gently and step out of my car. Then brush off my dress to make sure I look good.
And then, with grace I walk to him.I enter the beautiful garden with jasmines and Lilies everywhere. The sweet and attractive smell makes me shiver. I enter now another small gate at the end of the garden and see him. I see his grave.
He passed away the next day of his coma stage. Since the day, he's lying here peacefully. I come here every Saturday, to meet him and greet him with his favorite flowers.
Also, to share all my secrets with him. I talk crap. But I know he likes it.
I walk till I reach nearest to him and then sit down on my knees.Placing the flower on his grave, I sigh and start talking to him.
"Hey Daddy." I unknowingly pause after saying that quietly.
Tears pool up in my eyes and I try to blink them away, but instead of that, they start to fall.
"Aah! I know, I know. I shouldn't cry." I roll my eyes and say. Then I wipe the years dramatically.
"But what do I do? I miss you so much. But I am glad I can still talk to you." I grin.
"You know, I got an A minus in this economics test yesterday. I am rocking it, daddy. I'll surely get A's this year, except for Math that is! I am a hopeless case there. You know, right?""My finals will be starting from next month and then I'll graduate. Oh my Gosh, can you believe? I will graduate. I wish you could see me with my graduation degree and cap." I dreamily sigh.
"I miss you Daddy. Rob misses you too, and your warnings, off course..." I chuckle a little.
"He's so sweet. I thank my stars I fell in love with him. He keeps me smiling and going. And oh yeah, Mate, he is as always - funniest and understanding. We talk about you a lot. And Shiyona, she misses your horse riding tales. She once cried with me and said she wanted you back." I laugh while tears again form at the corner of my eyes.
"Thanks to you, she is joining horse riding classes this summer. She even said she wished you were there with her, guiding her to learn it. And yeah, me.
I miss you a lot more ""I am sorry I am saying that third time, but I can't help it.." I do not let my tears fall this time and wipe them immediately. And then nervously laugh.
"Oh Daddy! When will my birthday come? Unfortunately its eleven months far. I want to read your letter. But I'll wait, okay?" I whine a little and then exclaim.
"I have to go now, Rob is waiting for me in one of those new amusement parks in the city. We are having an adventure date today. Isn't that cute? I know, he is probably the best boy friend of this world.
So, till next Saturday"I get up from my knees and smile broadly as I see his name on the grave.
James Woods.
Below it, there was a quote written. I always read it when I come here. Daddy used to say it a lot to me. And when I read it, it feels as if he's speaking to me.
Never give up. I am always with you. Far, but still with you.
