yet again

tell me,
if you are where my home is,
why is your voice
nothing but a siren?

it's anything but calming.
as soon as i hear it,
i plug my ears
and hope that it'll stop.

if my health is so important,
that i should feel like i matter.
why is having a voice and reason,
such a terrible thing to have?

as soon as i speak,
you stop listening.
can i maybe just leave,
and never come back again?
i don't think,
you and i,
were meant to be
in the same life.

you always say,
that i wasn't supposed to be born,
maybe,
if i hadn't been born,
your life would be so much better,
wouldn't it?

maybe, i would have
been born to a different family,
that would hate me
much more than you do,
or love me twice much,
as you didn't.

i'm just so unlovable, aren't i?
is it really that hard to love
a soul that has been
harmed so many times?
you truly leave me wondering,
if my life has any meaning.

yet again,
everything feels as loud
as when i was at my worst..
is it all coming back?

yet again,
the broken pieces of my heart
have sunk to the bottom of the ocean.
as i search for them,
i can't help but let a single tear
drop down my face,
staring out into the distance,
thinking,
if maybe,
i'n better off
with a heart,
that isn't pounding.

if you really love me,
please, let me be happy.
