Chapter 21

I sat on my place. The host continued and asked Mr. Joseph to acknowledge the guests and make the announcements.

Mr. Joseph started his speech and we all were hearing him. He was always good at it. It never felt that we are tired of hearing him. That's all is needed to run a company. He had faith in his employees.

"Margaret?" i called her.

"Yes dear?"

"I saw Ben on the centre table. How come he is seating there with them? Does he know them?"

"Yes, they are related." she said simply and turned to Robert completely shutting off the topic.

Hmm..this means they are related. Now i know why he is there.

Mr. Joseph ended his speech and we all applauded.

"There is a most important announcement i have to make tonight. That's the reason i have arranged this Grand function..." Mr. Joseph said.

"First for the employees we have made some important changes, i would love to personally announce it. We are appointing Mr. Mark Kenneth as the new Head of Compliance Department...." everyone applauded. WOW...Mark deserved it. He is good at his work.

I let out a sigh as i have to no longer handle the compliance department.

"...next we have appointed Ms. Venessa as the new head of HR Department...." everyone was applauding at her. She stood up and waved thanking. We all applauded.

Wow...What is going on here? Why so many changes?

"..Next we are appointing Mr. Kevin Stewart as the head of Financial Planning and Analyst Department..." everyone applauded but i was shocked.

What?? Then what about me? Have I lost my job? No that's not possible they have just awarded me the best employee...I looked at Margaret in shock. She tapped my thigh assuring me and smiled. I saw Ana who also seemed shocked.

"..and we are appointing Miss. Samantha Collins as the new Head of Finance Department."

OHHH MY GODDD!!!! SERIOUSLY?

I cant believe this. I was so shocked everyone applauded looking at me. I stood up and thanked everyone. I saw Ben turned and looked at me applauding. He seemed truely happy for me but....WAIT!! what about him then? He was recently appointed as the Head.

"...and i am pleased to introduce you all to the New Director and CEO of BS International, my SON,  Mr. Benedict Sawyer."

I gasped looking at the dias.

Ben as in Ben Sawyer as in Bennedict Joseph Sawyer...

Ohh no!! This is not happening. This is not real. Ben Sawyer is the son of Joseph and Maria Sawyer?

I looked at the dias dumbfounded.

No wonder they looked familiar. How on earth did i forgot. Ohh godd..This is just too much..All this time he was acting..he was playing with me..he lied to me..he fooled me!!! NOO..how could i be such a fool?

I saw Margaret she was smiling at me. Even she knew it from the first day. I saw Jim and Ana looking at me. Jim was smiling and Ana looked at me concerned.
I saw towards the stage and Ben was looking at me. I felt as if someone has tore my heart apart. I loved a person who can't love a girl like me EVER! He is my BOSS!!!!

I felt blank..numb...i sat on the seat just looking at him. This feeling of betrayal was the WORST.

"..i also want to introduce our new member of the Board of Directors..Ms. Amanda Shaw." Mr. Joseph announced and i saw that lady which was seating with Ben went upstairs and hugged Ben and Mr. Joseph.
