Chapter 33

I was chatting with Ana and Sophie, i looked around, everyone seemed happy.

"Have you set any date?" Ana asked.

"We haven't discussed yet. I think i would like a Christmas wedding." i said grinning at them.

"Ohh that would be lovely Sammy. We would get enough time to plan.." Sophie said grinning. I nodded.

I looked back at Ben who was talking with his parents even Jim was with them. Ben looked at me and smiled. He excused and came towards me.

"So...are you ready to go?" he asked.

I looked at him confused..

"Ready to go where?"

"I told you we are going on a weekend trip..just two of us..didn't i?" he said winking.

"Ohh..i thought you planned for this here tonight."

"Yes i planned but i have one more surprise for you."

"Ohh Ben...you have already given me the best surprise..i don't need anything else." i said hugging him.

"Sam..this is one of the many things i love about you. You are always satisfied in whatever you get...but we have to go..so let's leave in about say..umm..twenty minutes?"

"But..this is our party how can we leave like this..even mom dad is here."

"Sam..everything is arranged. They all know about it..so they won't mind. Besides your parents are staying in Seattle till Sophie's wedding." he said keeping both his hands on my shoulders.

"So you have planned this already?..." i asked raising an eyebrow. I looked at my and Ben's parents who were chatting friendly with each other.

They seem like they know each other since long. That's good to see everyone is getting along so well.

"Umm..yes..i did.." he said shrugging.

I smiled back.

We spent some more time with everyone and then bid our goodbyes.

After about twenty minutes drive we entered a gate. I saw there were houses around this property. Seemed like a good neighborhood. But this property was in the far corner, but looked big then the other properties around. Ben entered the gate and drove in. I saw a big two storey house. It looked modern with all the latest exterior. I looked around, i didn't see much of it but i guess there was small garden surrounding house. Lights were dim and it was late. Ben stopped in front of the house main door. He got out of the car and took me to the door.

"So..this was the surprise? You hired this place for one day? It's nice i like it. What resort is this?" i asked him looking around. He kept quiet. I looked at him confused.

"What?" i asked.

"It's not a resort." he said simply.

"Well..okay..then?"

"Sam..hold out your hand." he said calmly. I did what he said. He placed a box in my hand which was tied by a red satin knot. I looked at him confused.

"Open it." he said smiling.

"Another surprise?" i asked shaking my head.

"Well..you can say its our engagement gift or pre wedding present."

I nodded grinning and untied the knot. When i opened the box i saw what was inside and took it out with my fingers. There was a key with a round key chain showing an animated picture of family on it..a couple with two kids and a house on the background..I looked at him shocked realizing what it meant.
