Chapter 27

I woke on the sound of my alarm..i felt my body paining. I noticed i slept waiting for Ben's reply yesterday. I grabbed my phone and checked but there was nothing from him. No call nor a single message from him. Just a missed call from Dad. I forgot to call him yesterday due to this events. I got up and stood when suddenly i fell back on bed. I felt my head spinning and darkness found me....

After few hours..

"Sam...sam..." i heard someone calling me and shaking my body.

"Is she okay?..she has temperature." the other voice said.

I opened my eyes and saw Ana and Sophie shaking me .

"Ohh sammy..thank god..are you okay?" Sophie asked.

I looked at her and nodded. My head was throbbing, my body felt like it was on fire. I felt so weak.

"My head is paining Sops." i mumbled rubbing my forehead.

"Sammy you have fever too. I will call doctor. You take leave today."

"I'll call the doc." Ana said and went out of my room.

"Ohh sammy.." Sops said worried.

"Did you hear from Ben?" i asked sops. She sighed shaking her head. I closed my eyes. Why is he doing this to me?

"I'll call Mia and inform that you are taking leave." Sops said taking out her phone. She made a call while i kept my eyes closed. My eyes were burning. I couldn't even open them. Damn my sickness!! Atleast i would have met Ben in office today. I felt sad thinking about him. Ana came back and joined sops.

"Ana..did you spoke to Jim?" i asked.

"Sammy..yes i spoke to him..but he hasn't told me anything." Ana said dissapointed.

After few minutes our doctor came. She was a family friend of Ana so accepts visiting us whenever needed. She checked me and gave some prescription to Sophie.

"It's just weakness and stress. You will be fine by tomorrow. Just don't take any stress and take rest." she told me and went out with Sophie.

Ana made some soup for me and i took medicines.

"Ana, Sops.. i think you should go for work..I am fine now. I have taken meds." i said looking at them.

"But sammy..i can't leave you like this.." sops said.

"Sops..seriously it's fine..You guys carry on. It's monday anyways, you must be having loads of work." i said looking at them.

"Okay..but you have to assure us you are not going anywhere. I will try to come early today." Ana said. I nodded and they both left.

I was sleeping when my phone buzzed. I thought it was from Ben but it was from Margaret.

"Hello?"

"Sammy dear..how are you? I just came to know from Venessa that you are on leave."

"I'm fine now Margaret. Just fever and headache."

"Ohh Sammy..take care dear."

"Margaret..have you spoke to Ben?" i asked

"No Sammy..but i met him while coming here in the elevator. He greeted but was looking disturbed." she said.

"Okay.." i said.

"Sammy..is everything fine between you two?"

"Hmm.." i replied.

"Okay..I will call you later dear. Take care okay?"
