Next day started on a good note. I felt good as i had made my decision. The only thing is that i have to act as i have decided. It will not be that tough sam..i chanted to myself.

I got ready for work, i chose to wear a formal pantsuit today. Once ready to go, i went downstairs. Sops was already on the dinning table having breakfast, she saw me and gave a warm smile..

"Good morning sammy."

"Morning sops, whatsup?"

"I have prepared some sandwiches, have kept yours near the microwave." she said pointing towards the sandwich plate.

"Okay..thnku."..i went towards the kitchen and took my plate with some orange juice.

"What time you came yesterday?" i asked sops as i sat across her.

"Got home at 11. There was some issue at work, so had to stay back." she replied.

"Hmm..how is work going on these day's?" i asked taking bite of my sandwich.

"Its fine, just that i have to handle some extra assignments as one of my colleague is on leave."

"Hmm okay."

There was silence as we ate our breakfast. Should i tell her about Ben. I was in deep thoughts.

"You want to tell me something?" she asked me studying.

She knows me so well....

"Umm..yes..We have a new finance head." i said unsure of how to tell her.

"What do you mean by new finance head? Wasn't veronica supposed to be your head now?" she asked confused.

"Yes, but she asked for transfer to Colorado. She wanted to move there with her husband. So they considered her request as there was someone in the Colorado office who wanted to come here."i replied.

"Okayyy..soo..who's your new boss?"she asked raising an eyebrow.

"Um..Its..Its BEN." i said looking at her.

"WHAT?..BEN ?..as in BEN?..ARE YOU SERIOUS? Ohh GOD..Are you okay sammy?..Did he speak to you?? What he said?.." she was asking all concerned.

"Sops, i am fine. Dont worry, even i was shocked to see him at first. It was quiet difficult for me to digest that news.
We even spoke, and we are at good terms now. He was very understanding and he assured me about him." i told her.

"hmm..do you want to fill me the details?..i still have time to leave for work." she asked.

I looked at my watch. I noticed i still have time. I nodded at her and told her everything that happened, about our meet, our conversation and my decision of trying to be his friend and having patience.

"Hmm.. do what you feel is right sammy. I think you have made a good decision. Ben is a nice guy. I dont think he will hurt you intentionally. Just take care of yourself okay?."

"okay..Thanks for being there for me sops." i smiled at her.

"Anytime dear.." she replied smiling.

"Where is Ana?" i asked her.

"Still asleep..seems she came late yesterday. I will wake her up after you leave otherwise she will get late for work.." she said smiling.

"yeah, and i better leave now before i get late for work too..Byee..." i said heading towards the door.
