Chapter 25

I woke up startled and saw the new surroundings. I remembered last night and blushed at the thoughts.

"Morning sweetheart." i heard Ben. I looked at the other side of the bed but he wasn't there, i sat and saw Ben was near the entrance of his bedroom holding a tray.

"Morning ..what is this?" i asked him pointing towards tray in his hand.

"I have made bed tea for us." he said smiling.

"Ohh..that's nice of you. Thanks." he came near me and kissed my forehead.

We had tea and showered together. Soon we were on our way to office.

"Ben..today is your first day as CEO..are you ready?" i asked him.

"Yes Sam, i am very excited. Besides, have you forgotten you are promoted too?"

I looked at him blinking several times. I seriously forgot i am now the HOD of Finance.

He laughed at my reactions.."I knew it... you forgot right?"

I gave him a nervous smile.

"Sam..you can do it. You are awesome at work, i have seen you. Actually, to tell the truth, you were going to get the promotion instead of Veronica but dad made the changes for me. So dont worry..you deserved it alright?"

"Thank you Ben."

He smiled at me.

"Ben...will you leave me at the gate?..." i asked unsure of his reaction.

"Sam..you don't have to worry about it. I am sure everyone will be happy seeing us together."

"Ben..i dont want them to think that..umm..you promoted me because i am your girlfriend." i said looking at my hand.

"Ohh come on...i told you right you deserved the promotion and it was decided before i came here."

"Okay.." i said looking out of window. There's no point in arguing with him.

We arrived at the parking and we went towards the reception. I noticed everyone looking at us. They were greeting Ben and looking at me with a smile. I smiled back but was feeling bit uncomfortable.

"Ben..you go ahead..i will see you later." i said to him.

He stopped and looked at me. I gave him an assuring smile. He nodded and went towards the elevator.

I walked towards reception and stopped by Mia.

"Morning Mia.." i smiled at her.

"Hey..morning sammy.. how are you?" she asked with a smile.

"I'm good.."

"So all set to take the new office?"

"Yeah..i thinkk.."

"Why are you so nervous? This was you dream right?"

"Hmm.."

"Sammy come on..you should be happy...You are the new HOD and Ben is your Boyfriend!!"

I smiled at her and nodded.

"I'll see you later." i said leaving for my department.

"Sammy...one sec...Venessa wants to meet you. She left this message with me few moments back." Mia informed.

"Okay..i will visit her."

I went straight to the HR Department. I saw the seating arrangements were changed. Ofcourse even Venessa got promotion. I went to her new cabin and knocked. I could see her as the door was open.
