Beatrice
Two months have passed and the movie was finished. We worked day and night, on and on, nonstop. Well, we do have breaks but you know what I mean. I've been getting used to being called Megan. I even miss the sound of my name.
Philip had told me that when it was aired, it was a huge success. He could not stop thanking me for doing the movie. I felt guilty. It's not like I didn't benefit from it. He said people loved me and are expecting more from me. I don't think they'll see more.
Anyway I will be starting my next movie. I went though the lines and rehearsed them myself. Now I knew eveything I need to do. I am now heading to the set for the rehearsals.
I walked in and James greeted me. "Megan, hello sorry but you'll have to wait. They're not yet done setting up the scene. Your co-stars will be here shortly. You can read some magazines while you wait." He said handing me a magazine and what luck. The cover was none other than me (Megan) and Rachelle. Woah, news travels fast. I honestly wish people wouldn't compare me to her. I felt bad for Rachelle. It seemed like I totally stole her role. She gave it up. Stop being a coward.
"Megan," James was back. "I'm sorry to inform you but one of your co-stars can't make it today. He's playing a big role so we can't run through the lines without him. We'll have to reschedule. How about tomorrow? It's not like were already filming, but I guess we're kind of in a hurry." I nodded. I had nothing better to do now that I was occupied by acting. I guess I can maybe go sightseeing. I mean, that is what I came here for.
I walked back home and dad called me exactly when I stepped foot in my apartment. I answered it.
"Hello?" I said. "Beatrice! The movie was wonderful we just watched it and your mom has no idea it was you." Dad said happily.
"That's how it should be. She wouldn't know because she is definitely not mom, dad. She's another woman acting in the place of mom." I said and added "She's not doing a very good job of it, either." I said almost a whisper.
"What was that honey, I didn't quite catch the last part." Dad said cluelessly.
"Nothing. Anyway how is Josh? Did he finally decide what to take for college?" I asked.
"No, not yet but I"m sure he will." He said. "Sorry sweetie, got to run. Talk to you soon!" And then we said our goodbye's.
I miss home, I miss Josh, all the fights we had, all the songs we sang, all those times I felt alone and he stayed by my side. Sometimes when I was left heartbroken, sick, or just sad he'd sing me to sleep and it usually ended up that he couldn't sleep the whole night and comforted me. I really feel bad for him.
I love Josh. He's the best brother anyone can have. I feel like I give all my problems to him like he'll know how to fix them. At home I might just be a burden. Here I live on my on, but it gets lonely.
I went to bed holding dad and Josh's picture. Now, I feel like I need them not because they will fix all my problems; I need them because they're all I got.

I woke up and took a shower. I had already mastered the lines of my character. Still, what is so important that my co-actor couldn't make it. Still makes me wonder who he is and what he looks like. I just realized the hardships of this profession. You meet complete strangers. Awkward as it all may be, you havr to deliver. When I read through the script, I saw that I actually had to kiss my co-actor. I was not at all excited for that, but James looked as if he was a "no-nonsense" type of person. I don't want to come off as someone who loves to complain. I want to be professional, just like everyone else is.
I walked into the set. James was busy talking to someone, so I just walked over to the couch and sat there. James noticed my presence, so he gave me a smile.
I read a magazine while waiting. It was the one I was reading yesterday.
"Megan Block the new found talent?
Megan Block is an 18 year old girl. Her birthday is on May 15. This beautiful young girl has overpowered the multi-awarded and talented Rachelle. We are expecting Ms. Block to do another movie this month of May. Can she actually top Rachelle? Find out more-"
I closed the magazine not wanting to read more. The people are saying I 'overpowered' Rachelle. Just because somepne asked me to do her role doesn't mean I'm better than her. It's just they except too much out of an 18 year old girl.
"Megan," James was walking towards me with a few people walking behind him. "For now I'd like you to meet some of your co-stars. Chelsea, she'll be your best friend in the movie. Drake, who is your brother. Emily she'll be the antagonist in this movie." James introduced them one by one.
"Hello, nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you." I said smiling at them.
"So it's true? You and Rachelle are like in some sort of feud?" Chelsea came up to me. Before I could reply, she continued talking. "Don't worry! Trust me I've always hated her. One time she made a mistake on one of her lines and I corrected her. I swear if looks could kill, I wouldn't be here right now." Chelsea said laughing.
"One time I got so annoyed because she kept laughing at my mistakes so i got pissed. I told her to get lost. She took a glass of iced lemonade and poured it on my head." Emily said an added "Don't try it, doesn't feel too good." She said nodding. Everyone laughed as they continued telling stories and bloopers with Rachelle. How bad could she be?
"That girl is crazy. It would be good help if we brought her to the mental hospital. She'll learn to thank me, when the time comes." Drake said nodding at his plan.
"I didn't really do anything. I just witnessed an all out war between Phillip and her. I bet Phillip was so desperate that asked me to audition for the role, right then and there." I told them "I don't really want to have iced lemonade dunked on me." I said chuckling.
"I like her. We should all go somewhere later on. Maybe shopping or a vacation, yeah? Or. Or-" Chelsea said, but was cut off by Emily.
"We should just all have a vaction before Chelsea burns her brain trying to plan our trip." Emily said holding back a laugh as Chelsea glared at her.
"I don't know why you would be shocked when director asked you to fill in. You look 100 times prettier than her, anyone with eyes would see that. Your a lot kinder than her too." Said Drake. They were being too nice. Or rather, their hatred runs deep for Rachelle. "I'd rather be caught dead than say Rachelle is pretty." He said.
"Drake, you just did." I said chuckling at him. He thought about it a bit before he spoke. Sometimes I think boys are really slow.
"Oh... then I take it back." He said smiling at me as Emily and Chelsea shook their heads.
"We should totally hang out. Like literally later. We could have a sleepover and. and.-" Chelsea said but again was cut off by yet again Emily.
"Let's have it at Chelsea's place before she starts talking about all the things we can do." Emily aaid smiling and again Chelsea glared at her but that just made Emily smile even more.
"Guys I would like you to meet your co-star as well as Isabella's (Megan's role) lover. Logan Clark." James said as someone emerged from the shadows. Did I just hear what he said.
It can't be him. Impossible. Oh dear Lord please not be him. Please. Please. Please. I'm begging you. Anyone but him.
