Ever since the day that we met,
I couldn't get you out of my head,
there was always something about youEvery chance that I seem to get,
finds a way to end in regret,
there was always something about you-Too Late // 5 Seconds Of Summer
If you had told Ashton Irwin, two weeks prior, that he would spend two days with no one but Luke Hemmings, voluntarily, and actually enjoy it, chances are, he would have laughed straight in your face. Either that, or he'd have gotten extremely sad over such a terrible joke. One thing he definitely wouldn't have done, is believe you.
But he ended up doing just that, on Monday and Tuesday after school, when Luke suggested they both head down to the park together. Luke had wanted to teach Ashton 'a thing or two' about the way he played football, and the shorter boy was always open to improvement.
They used their school bags as goal posts, and Luke stood in goals, yelling pieces of advice to Ashton, as he kicked the stray ball they had found lying around, repeatedly into the 'goal.'
After about an hour, Luke began to complain of hunger and so they collected their stuff and began their walk home,
"You played good today" The taller boy mentioned as they walked down a street, "I didn't yell at you as much as I did yesterday"
Ashton rolled his eyes at these words but managed to crack a smile "You yell at me no matter how I play"
"Not true!" Luke laughed, although there was a somewhat mischievous glint in his eye that the shorter boy chose not to comment on.
What Ashton did comment on, was the mass amounts of food that Luke practically swallowed once they got home. Skinny he was, Luke Hemmings was a boy who could eat for the entire continent, and still have room for desert.
It struck Ashton as weird, considering he probably did more exercise than the blonde boy, and was overall far more active, however the younger boy ate three times more than him. In the end, even Liz had to scold her son claiming that he would eat her house down if he wasn't prevented. Ashton couldn't agree more.
The evening was spent with the boys engaging in their own activities, which basically consisted of Ashton doing homework, and Luke browsing the internet, playing on his Xbox, and flicking random items at his roommate when he grew bored or restless.
After Luke had the nerve to tip Ashton's pencil case over the floor and smile innocently when the shorter boy glared, Ashton groaned loudly, slamming his book shut and rubbing his temples.
"Is there a problem, Luke?" He sighed exasperated, as the taller boy shrugged, watching in triumph as Ashton began to pack his stuff away, obviously exhausted from both Luke and the work.
"I'm bored" Luke whined, slowly reaching out for one of Ashton's pens to help him clean up, although Ashton only smacked his hand away, and sent a swift glare in Luke's direction, before picking it all up himself.
"Right, Hemmings, what do you want to do?"
"Lego Starwars "
"Seriously?" Ashton paused to look at the time "It's nearly eleven o clock. We have school tomor-"
"Don't be a bore, Ash" Luke rolled his eyes, setting up the game, knowing he would end up convincing Ashton in the end anyway,
"Fine." Ashton sighed "But we're not sleeping any later than midnight."
"Midnight," Luke nodded, but Ashton saw that same glint in his eyes whilst he said the word.
The boys finally got into bed at 3 am, after three games of FIFA street, two of LEGO Batman, and countless LEGO Starwars.
