Calum's POV

I knock on the door and Luke answers. I give him a small smile before walking right past him into the practice room.

"So what do we wanna practice?" Ashton asks.

"Um.. Can I sing you guys a song I made?" I ask. I wrote it about Luke.

"Sure." Michael answers.

"This is called Close as Strangers." I start playing the notes on my bass.

Six weeks since I've been away

And I wish I was back home next to you

I finish singing my song and I find tears welled up in my eyes.

"Emotional huh? Who was that about?" Luke asks.

"My ex." I lie, wiping my eyes.

"Oh." Luke says quietly.

"Nice song!" Ashton claps. I nod.

"What song next?" I ask.

Ashton: too*

Michael: shut up

Luke: oh sorry i was texting ashley

Calum: oh.

Luke: yeah

Luke: yeah it went well
