27 - Hospital

Calum's POV

"Hurry the fuck up guys and call Liz. I'm practically speeding right now." I tell Michael. He was with Ashton, what a coincidence.

"Okay okay, see you at the hospital." He ends and I focus on my driving. Maybe if I told Luke I loved him back then he wouldn't have gotten in a crash. Maybe I was to scared. To scared of what? To be made fun of?

I'm such a big jerk. Ever since day one. I snap back into reality and arrive at the hospital. I quickly get out and slam the car door shut. I run inside the hospital and almost trip while stopping at the front desk.

"Yes, sir?" The lady tilts her glasses.

"I'm here to see Luke Hemmings." I say hurriedly.

"Are you family?" She asks. They obviously won't let me if I say no.

"Yes, can I see him?" I say in an annoyed voice.

"Please sign in and then sign some papers. Then I'll take you to his room." She gives me some papers and I snatch them from her hand. I sloppily write down the information and hand it to the lady. She looks over it and nods. "Okay, follow me."

"Finally." I whisper and start walking behind her. She opens the door and I walk in. I gasp at the sight. Luke's all bruised and has cuts all over him. He's connected to all these wires. "Luke." I bite my lip to stop the tears. I walk over by his hospital bed and kneel.

"I'll just leave you here." The lady walks away and I'm alone with him. I grab his hand.

"Luke, if you can hear me, squeeze my hand." I wait for a couple minutes. Nothing. "Luke, please. I-I'm sorry for being such a jerk. I just- I- I don't know. Luke... I love you." I start crying and feel a light squeeze. I quickly look up to see Luke's eyes opened just a little.

"Calum." He croaks.

"No, don't talk. Your mum's coming and so are Michael and Ashton." He nods slightly and I just stay there holding his hand.

Calum: WHERE R U GUYS?!

Michael: we can't visit. How did u get in?

Ashton: yea it was fam only

Calum: i lied to get here. Liz is here so that's good

Michael: wow calum

Ashton: that's cuz he likes him

Michael: wait wat

Calum: ASHTON SHUT UP OMG

Michael: aww u like luke?

Calum: STOP

Ashton: yeah he loves him

Calum: omg ash i hate u

Calum: bye losers

*Calum has left the conversation*

Ashton: anyways yeah

Michael: aww so does luke

Ashton: wat should their ship name be?

Michael: Cuke?

Ashton: Lalum?

Michael: i know!

Ashton: what?

Michael: Cake.
