Eternity|Chapter 23

Sighing, I banged my head on the desk.

Science is boring.

Especially when you're learning about a cell that you'll never use in your 'future'.

"Save me!" I whispered to Laura who was doodling flowers on her notebook.

"No." She grinned at me cheekily and started shading in her flowers.

"Wow. Rude much?" I glared at her and put my head on the desk, sideways. 

"I can tell." 

"You aren't making any sense." 

"Does it lo-" 

"Ladies, is there anything that you two would like to share with the class?" Ms. Fearn asked, pointing at me and Laura. 

"N-no, sorry Ms.Fearn!" She stuttered, sliding down the seat. I mentally face palmed at her weakness and apologised to Ms. Fearn before writing down the notes on the board. 

"Now, class. Homework is to write a report about the cells. Have a good day!" She concluded as the bell rang. Everyone cheered and ran out of the room. I closed the zipper of my bag and walked out. 

"Hello Melissa." 

"Don't think by saying 'hi' to me, it'd make me fall for you. I'm not an idiot you know?" I turned around to face him, cocking my head to the side and placing my hands on my hips. 

"I never meant that. Hey-" My phone's ringtone cut through his sentence, causing him to throw a glare in my direction. I pulled my phone out and clicked the green 'answer' button.

"Mom?" I asked excitedly. 

"Hey honey. Look. Sorry for not calling, but I'm coming back the day after tomorrow. Can you stay with the Prescott's tonight? I forgot to tell you I asked someone to come and repaint the house. They're going to stay in the guest room. Thanks!" 

"Wait.. How can you trust the Prescotts?" I asked suspiciously. 

"U-Uh... Uh... She uh.. Seems nice!" She stuttered. I was about to scream out 'WHY WON'T YOU TELL ME?!' when I decided to clamp my mouth shut. 

"Okay. Bye!" I called, ending the call and groaning. 

"I'm staying over tonight." 

"Not surprised, who can resist sleeping with me?" He smirked. I slapped his arm and glared at him before rolling my eyes. 

"Whatever." I stated. 

"You coming or not? I don't have all day you know?" I said, walking towards the entrance of the school. He laughed and ran to catch up with my walking. Once he was in step with me, I turned to face him. 

"Kay, so what were you gonna s-" Before I could comprehend what was happening, he crashed his lips down on mine. I forced my mind to not kiss back, but however, I couldn't stop it. 

So I kissed him back.

Dang it. 

I'm not losing anytime soon. 

And in order to do that, I'll have to pull away. 

Just like I had said, I shoved him away and wiped my mouth. 

"What the hell was that for?" I growled, glaring at him. 

"Oh I don't know, what do you think?" He sarcastically replied. 

"WHAT DO I THINK? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU FREAKING THINKING!?" I shouted. He shrugged deviously at me before darting to his car. 

"YOU ARE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!"
