Sam and Castiel have just reached their one year. Who knew one year would almost tear them apart.
"Sam, I really don't understand the point in celebrating a human year together, they are pitifully short. I know we'll last much longer than a human year." Castiel exclaimed in his usual bored tone.
"Cas it's just a thing us humans do." Sam replied on the verge of frustration.
"Fine.""Congratulations!" Someone in the crowd said. Castiel rolled his eyes as he downed another drink.
Three more drinks qnd Castiel hadn't even finished getting started. He regretted almost everything. He knew he shouldn't have started dating Sam and not because he didn't love him, because he loved him more than anyone ever has loved in life. It was because Castiel didn't fit him. He made Sam look awkward and made everything uncomfortable. Castiel surprisingly didn't like himself very much. He was sick of not understanding."Hey babes" Sam said walking up to the druken angel.
"Sam." Castiel slurred out.
"Oh, god. Not this again." Sam began to get upset.
"What do you mean not this again?" Castiel surprised Sam with his anger.
"Every time it gts hard, you get drunk. Just fucking talk to me Cas, just fucking talk to me." Sam whispered looking away.
"You wouldn't understand. You're just human." Cas spit the word human like it disgusted him. He envied them all.
"Ok Cas." Sam's voice sounded strong but you could see the hurt in his eyes. He left without telling anyone bye, leaving Castiel with nothing but his words lingering in his mind.
"What the hell Cas?" Sams older but smaller brother, Dean, immediately came over to see if someone needed an ass beating for hurting his Sammy. Castiel didn't respond he just downed another drink. And then another. And then another.
Castiel heard his phone ring but never even thought about answering it. He left the bar awhile ago, and somehow ended up at the pond. Ivory pond. It's where he and Sam first admitted they had feelings for each other, it's where they first kissed and it's where Castiel had planned to ask Sam to marry him. Castiel never went through with the plan he made weeks ago. He felt like Sam didn't need to be put through all of this. He didn't deserve Sam. He was an asshole angel. A fucking angel. Cas chuckled remembering Sam's surprise. He loved this human. Always would.
"Castiel what the hell? Ive been calling you for at least three hours? Why couldn't you fucking answer my calls? If you want to end this, just tell me, because i can't do this, i can't. I love you with all my heart and want to be with you." Sam sounded very upset
"Sam. You deserve better." Castiel slurred refusing to make eye contact.
Sam laughed, he pulled Castiel into a kiss. "Yea i deserve a sober you dumbass."
And well let's just say the drunk angel gotta a little 'flirty'. (I mean he wanted to bannnnng)
