What Whoever Said:
"Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterwards."
-A Wise Saying
What I Say:
This is very, very true. Learning by experience is always hard. The person is just thrown right into the chaos. It is only afterwards, through reflection, that he or she learns a life lesson or two. Life is like that, too. In school, we are typically given a lesson and then a test, but in real life, it is different. We have to think on our feet and learn as we go.
