What Whoever Said:
"True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less."
-C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
What I Say:
C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors, and this is one of my favorite quotes! Anywho, I like how changing the order of a few words in this quote completely changes the definition of true humility. Some people do seem to think that humility is the same as having no self-esteem and therefore look down on humility. I think Lewis is right, though. True humility is a good thing and when a person genuinely cares about other people and doesn't boast or think too of him or herself.
