What Whoever Said:
"I wonder how many people I've looked at all my life and never seen."
―John Steinbeck, The Winter of Our Discontent
What I Say:
This quote has me wondering, too. I am sure there're people who are around me all the time that I have never noticed or taken the time to know. For example, I don't even know the names of everyone in my classes. I could go a whole year or semester in the same class as someone and never know it. Similarly, when I visit a city, I pass so many people on the streets, but never really notice them. It is sad, in a way. This quote reminds me that it is good to branch out and meet new people, instead of staying with my group of friends and family all the time.
