I Don't know what to react with all of this. Mark Simon's asking me to be his girlfriend? Like what the heck he's thinking? Well, I know I'm pretty and well grown up for my age but Mark? He wouldn't dare."I'm going to pick you up at noon before lunch. Be ready." He says casually like he doesn't expect me to refused or argue with him.
Before my mouth can counter him, he quickly walks away with his target on his left hand and a riffle at his back right arm. His boots made creeping sound when it hits the dead branches. And I can see how the snow melted on his tracks. He is so damn rude.
At exactly 12 noon, I'm already sitting at the small patio of our front yard. I'm ready with a tattered denim jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt paired with a black snow boots. I really sat here ahead of time. So I could easily spot Mark's car ahead of time. I just Don't want to cause trouble when dad or Mom saw him. Another daughter of them going with a guy out will definitely drive them crazy.
"Hop in." He calls out as soon as the car turns to stop.
I just shrugged my shoulders and quickly hop inside after he swung the other side of the car door open. I soon settled comfortably in the luxury of his already warm car. And rub both of my hands together to let the coldness swift away.
We ride in silence. Him focused on the road while I am entertaining myself at the view outside. Though I already knew the path as well as the trees lining by at the side of the road, I preferred to just look at them than feel the awkward situation I am having now.
"So..where are we going?" I dare to ask trying to break the awkward air of silence.
I stole a glance at his direction but it's like my eyes are glued on him. He looks so gorgeous in a white shirt under a thick black jacket. His long hair is gelled on top like a massive nest piled on his head. Only a white benie serves as a stopper. He's growing more handsome everytime I get to see him. And I cringed at my self dilutions.
"On a restaurant, of course." He snaps while never leaving his sight on the road. His brows twisted up so I prefer to just shut my mouth up.
We arrived at a famous restaurant in town. I haven't tried to come here because of the expensive foods that I knew I couldn't afford. And most of the people ate her were on high class level in society. I even noticed some teens like my age busy talking and laughing at one another.
I steps out of his car still adjusting the knit of my sweatshirt. It's just the clothes I'm wearing seems so unfit for this kind of place.
"Why are pulling it down? It's not like it's too short or something. Come on.." he snaps feeling annoyed with a raised brow while looking at me. I didn't notice him standing in front of me because my eyes glued on the said restaurant.
"O..okay." I sigh and gave in. Tagging him at the back.
We soon sitted in a table for two at the back part of the restaurant, facing the wooden frosty garden. And I sat there with a trembling and expectant heart.
After he ordered foods that I just usually saw on brochure and food magazines, we ate in silence.
"What do you want for a drink?" I hear him says, snapping my head up.
"It's.. up to you." I whispered.
He calls a waiter and hear him order two ice tea. When we finished, he wipe tissue on his mouth and I imitate him just to do out of nothing.
"How was my offer?" He said in a very deep and raspy voice. Maybe the iced tea makes it even raspier?
"What's the reason behind it? I want to know the reasons first. I Don't wanna jump into things I might regret after." I answer him with such audacity of voice that immediately made his brows arc upward.
"Too personal. I prefer to just keep it on my own." He annoyingly says as harsh as ever.
