Library was one of the places that's so dear to me. Where I spent my vacant hours reading novels and books that captures my interests. And I have to put on my alarm so as not to be late for the next class. And most of the time, I stayed here alone. But not today. My two bestfriends are with me. And that gave me an idea that's something was wrong. They hated library. Because their way of studying was different. Fiona often stayed in her choir practice while Miley is so busy for the upcoming school's sports fest. She's a varsity player on a volleyball team which gave her an A on her P.E. class always. And that leaves me alone for most of the time in my sacred sanctuary.
"So, I heard your having a part time job this weekend?" Fiona's voice is low that she almost sounded like humming. I really adored her voice. With her golden curly hair and bright blue eyes, no one on earth wanted to refuse her.
I nodded my head slowly. Eyes still on the book that Im reading.
" Where's the place?" The soft masculine voice of Miley interrupted.
I always wonder why destiny leads me to this two different girls of my life. Yet, they both have same qualities that I always admired. Strong spirits. Wild and free.
I gently put the book down. Scared that we will be caught by the librarian. And in a hushed tone I say. " Mr. Stephens told me it's a chocolate shop few blocks from here. But I never knew there's some chocolate shop right down in there. So, I guess I'll just wait for him to show me where it is." I then shrugged off my shoulder.
But was about to fall down on my chair.
The once smooth and low voice of Fiona heard through out the walls.
" What? You mean the chocolate shop right in the middle of Chocolate Ave. and Cocoa Ave.?" And she then began to gasps, mouth open.
" Yeah..? I mean, I dont know! I told you I've never been there or knew there's something like that in that place. Hey, whats wrong?" I began to suspect that there's something terrible in that place.
With the look that she gave me. As if Im going to a place not ordinary human beings ever been to.
" Oh my God, you really don't know?" And she even widen her eyes that I can see my self on her light blue eye balls.
I raised my left eyebrow unable to say anything. Was it really that bad?
"...Do some research for pete's sake! That's where that cute hot guy lived. And his father owns the shop. I went there often and I saw him on the counter sometimes." She grinned. As if Im a big fool left behind by a very important news.
"And you girl! You'r gonna see him as often as you want. My, your so lucky! "And even giggle at the thought.
I saw Miley stiffle a light laugh. Clearly amused by the idea. Or maybe she's now imagining what will be my reaction about the news.
" But Fiona, I dont just work there to hunt cute hot guys. Im going there for a job. " I let out a sigh and shakes my head.
Just as she was about to counter to my words, the librarian glared at us.
" This is not a place to discusss teenage flirtations, young ladies. This is for the people who want to have a quite and peaceful place to read and study. And obviously, you're disturbing them." The voice of the librarian rang through the halls.
I then began to realize that some of the students were now gazing at us with curious eyes. I have never been embarrased on this kind of place. And Im really disappointed.
I ran my fingers through my now messy hair and tied it into a bun. I am definitely needed to be out in here as of now. I gather my books and my bag and began to whisper at my friends who just shrugged their shoulders. Not even bothered.
I shook my head in exhaustion. And motion them to follow me outside. Making a scene here was not among my greatest achievements inside the library.
Authors Note:
I attached a picture of Mark Simons. Jennifer Smith's soon to be one great love. The image is of Harry Styles from One Direction. But I wanted to make something different so I changed the name.
Sorry. But Im really a fan of him. That the perfect dream boy that I always envisioned here is derived from his image.
