I watched the rain poor down the window and I watched the mossy trees go by. I knew my aunt had sound coming out of her mouth, I just wasn't hearing the words. One time she shook me to see if I was listening and I said, 'Yeah, what was that again?" Then the noise continued. After about three hours, we made it to Forks and then my aunt's simple two story log cabin syle house. Once we were stopped, I fell out of the car and into the rainy, wet, mushy ground. It was sogging wet but it was like heaven on my face. "Katerina, you're getting all wet," said my aunt, with a hint of uneasiness in her tone.

I laughed and replied,"Sorry, I felt like I was dying in that car. The ground felt really good." She nodded as she took my stuff inside and I followed her. Her house was beautiful, it was like a fairy tale cabin in away. It was colorful, but enough of the same colors that it still looked like an adult lived in it. I was place on the second floor of the house, in a nice sized room, that was painted a light mixture of blue and green. I smiled, because there was a desk where I could put my laptop and do my homework. I also have a great view of the forest outside. There was a queen size bed against one wall of the room and also a small walk in closet. "This is great!" I said, smiling to my aunt Megan, hugging her.

"I am glad you like it, darling. This was the guest bedroom, but I would rather you have it," she said with a big smile on her pale face. I was going to look like an outcast here, with my tan skin, but I didn't mind. I would hate not having my old pals to hang out with, but at least I could meet new people. "Ah, well I will leave you to get unpacked, dinner will be ready in 20 minutes." I nodded to her and said, "Thanks again so much, I am sorry you have to take care of me," I said, smiling. She shook her head and headed down the hall. I sat down on my bed, lying back on the silky blankets. Maybe this won't be so bad after all, my aunt is great, the weather is nice, and hopefully the people will be too, I thought.

After I unpacked everything, the scent of cheese enchiladas wafted up from downstairs, it smelled so delicious. I felt like I floated down the stairs and into the bright kitchen. There was a circular table in the middle with three chairs around it. I sat down at one of the places, as my aunt set down the tray with the enchiladas on it. "Your mom said these were your favorite and also," she set down a bowl of mash potatos, "you like these too." I smiled big, so happy that my mom did tell aunt Megan about my likes. She poured me a glass of milk and as we ate we talked about what my parents were up to.OK I wanted to let you know my parents are not highly known actors but they try, but they have my dad's small business to fall back on, since he is making big bucks. Also I know I kind of already mentioned this but my aunt is sort of an author, but my uncle seems to making good cash for whatever he does.

After dinner I helped my aunt clean up and then went upstairs to bed, to get an early start on my first day of school, in this new town. As I fell asleep, I dreamt about all the possible welcomings.
