Song: Come November; Thriving Ivory
I rolled out of bed and looked around my room. Cassie was still asleep. I sighed, replaying the scenes from last night in my head. I still couldn't believe what had happened. I seriously considered the possibility that it was a dream, until I rolled over and checked my phone.
Goodnight, beautiful. I hope you sleep well.
The text made my heart flutter. It wasn't a dream. Oli and I really had been together last night. I texted him a quick reply and flipped the covers off. I quietly crossed the room and slid under the covers with Cassie.
"Wake up, sleepy head," I said softly. Cassie fluttered her eyes, blinking them a few times, the sleep slowly fading from them. She smiled at first, but it quickly faded when she realized who I was.
"Brodie Lynn, I am going to kick your ass!" she said. She shoved me from her bed, and I landed on the floor. I broke into a fit of giggles as I crash landed. She jumped on top of me and grabbed my phone, instantly going to my messages. She read the one from Oli last night, and read my reply.
"What is going on?" she demanded, still not moving. I smiled and sighed.
"Cass, you are not going to believe what I am about to tell you," I started. I started up at her, waiting for her response. Her gaze softened a little, but she still wouldn't move.
"Did you have sex last night?"
"No. But I did meet someone."
"Okay, tell me everything," she said. She let me up, and pulled me to my feet. We sat together on her bed as I spilled the events of last night in complete detail. She didn't interrupt, and gave small nods and curious looks as I continued on. Finally, I finished, and she sat in silence for a few minutes, taking it all in.
"So, let me get this straight. You and this rock star guy..."
"Oli."
"Whatever, Oli, like each other, and you're sure he just doesn't like you for your stick like figure?"
"I'm pretty sure he doesn't," I started. I was almost sure he didn't, but I was still a little unsure. Cassie sighed, and pulled me into a hug.
"Well, I am super jealous of you. Really. A rock star! Whoa, Brodie. That's amazing. Second, I'm sorry for getting mad. I just thought you ran off with those guys and left me here. And then you came home all drunk and stuff, and I thought something happened..." she said. I hugged her back tightly. I knew she meant well last night. I probably would have done the same thing if it was her.
"Thanks, Fish Face. So, how was shopping?" I asked. Her face lit if, and she jumped off the bed, showing me her new clothes, swim suits, shoes and wall decorations. I oohed and awed at them all, and when she was done, I helped her hang stuff up and but her new merch away. I showed her my signed poster and other merch. She smiled as she ran her fingers across Oli's signature.
"Want to meet him?"
"What?"
"Want to meet him?" I asked again. She looked stunned.
"Really?"
"Yeah silly, I'd like to see him again, and tell him about my decision to his next concert," I said. She nodded her head vigorously and I grabbed my phone from off her bed and texted him again.
Can I come over today?
I tossed my phone back on my bed and decided it was time to get ready. I grabbed one of my new shirts and some fresh jeans and headed toward the bathroom. I grabbed a towel and turned on the water and quickly stepped in.
