Picture: Beautiful picture of Oli.
Song: While the Candle Still Burns; Thriving Ivory
Oli and I walked back to the bus, fingers entwined with each other's. We made a little small talk, but mostly enjoyed the silence. That was one thing I liked about Oli. We didn't have to fill the silence with pointless conversation. we could just be at ease with each other's company.
As we neared the bus, Oli stopped and pulled my close to him. His long arms wrapped around me, and I pressed into hi,, clinging to his shirt.
"I really like you, Brodie Lynn," he murmured into my hair. His fingers were laced though it, and I felt my whole body tingle with excitement.
"I really like you too, Oliver Scott," I whispered back. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He pulled my face close, resting his forehead against mine.
"Will you come to the concert with me?"
"Yes," I said, my voice barely audible.
"Really?" he asked, pulling away from me.
"Really, really," I said. I pressed my face into his neck, breathing in him smell. It made my head tingle. His fingers ran through my hair, and I massaged small rings in the back of his neck. I felt chills go down him spine, and I smiled.
We finally pulled away from each other. I gazed up into his eyes, and I felt myself blush again. He was staring at me like he had down at the pond. I felt his lips caress the top of my forehead.
"We better get you home," he whispered. I nodded, still clinging to his shirt. I didn't want to leave him. I barely knew the guy, but he made me feel so right. No other guy had ever made me feel the way Oliver did.
He lead me slowly up the steps of the bus. Cassie was playing video games with Jona and Cameron. Matt and Lee were talking at the table. I had no idea where Matty and Jake were. Oli and I sat at the couch for a few minutes. Now, there was no space between us. His arm was draped around my shoulders, and I leaned against him, listening to his soft heart beat.
"Probably time for you girls to go, huh?" Jona said. He stopped their game, earning loud groans from Cameron and Cassie.
"Is it time already? I was really kicking their butts," Cassie said, pouting.
"It's almost ten, Cass. My aunt is going to think I abandoned her," I said. I didn't exactly want to leave either.
Jona and Oli walked out of the bus. I shivered. I didn't notice how cold it was. Cassie had a small jacket that emerged from her purse, but I was an idiot and forgot to pack one.
"Hold on," Oli said. He darted back inside, and quickly returned with a grey sweatshirt. It had an orange cartoon character that looked like a cat on it. I gave him a questioning look, and he shrugged.
"It's from my clothing line," he said. He slid it over my head, and hugged me one last time. I hugged him back tightly, not wanting to let go.
"Bye, Brodie. I'll see you tomorrow. I'll pick you up," he said. He kissed the top of my head softly. I pulled away from him.
"What time?" I asked.
"Ten?"
"Sure."
"Night, my darling. I'll see you in my dreams," he smiled, and climbed back on the bus after Jona. Cassie and I slowly walked back to our car, swapping stories.
"That Matty kid is really nice, and can I tell you just how attractive Jona is?" Cassie squealed. I admit, the guys were all very attraciive, but no one compared to Oli in my eyes.
