"Where the fuck have you been? Do you realise it's been three fucking days since I saw you last! You don't answer your fucking phone! Car's fucking gone, so I can't even come and look for your sorry ass! You could have been fucking dead and I wouldn't have never known!" Cassie screamed at me once we were safe behind closed doors. I sighed, leaning against the heavy wooden door.

"Cassie, you have no idea what I have been through these past couple of days," I said.

"Well maybe that's because I wasn't with you!" she yelled. I sighed again. I knew this wasn't going to get anywhere. I had invited Cassie to come to Oli's home coming party with me, but she declined, saying she didn't want to interfere. I told her it would be fine, but she insisted anyway.

"Brodie, you are my best friend! Do you know what could have happened to you? And I would have had no idea of knowing," she said. She had stopped yelling, but she was still mad.

"Cass, if something did happen to him, the guys would have let you know," I said quietly.

"How do you know?" she spat.

"Cassandra Lee Ann Page, if you do not stop with this tone, I will not tell you one single thing and I will leave right now," I said calmly. Over my years of being friends with Cassie, I knew raising my voice and yelling would not solve anything. I instantly saw the fire leave her eyes.

"Leave?" she said, bottom lip quivering. I sighed. "You can't go. I'm sorry, Brodie, it's just, all this stuff with Marci, and you disappearing, I just.. I don't know.." she said, sinking into the chair. I sighed again and walked over to her. I reached out for her hand. She looked up and gave me a tiny smile, reaching for my hand. I pulled her up and into a hug. She squeezed me tightly.

"Ow, Cass," I said, pulling away.

"What? All I did was hug you," she said in her pouty voice.

"It's all part of my wild, crazy, wonderful three days," I said with a smile. She gave me a curious look. "Come on. let's go make some tea, and I'll tell you everything."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cassie started blankly at the wall after I had finished speaking for a few minutes. I fidgeted in my chair, taking another large gulp of tea. I tried  not to cough as the hot liquid burned my throat.

"So, let me get this straight, Danny and his broods get you all completely shit-faced, Oli said he loved you, and you almost had sex. Then Danny goes AWOL and you spend all night looking for him, you catch Oli with his ex, find Danny and also find out he's been drugged, then you all pass out after you forgive Oli, then you have good morning slash hangover sex. Go visit Danny, he loses it and gets kicked out of the hospital, then you visit Marci and find out she's getting worse, and then Oli goes and covers up the part of your tattoo you hate the most," she said, counting all of the events on her fingers. I nodded and smiled slightly.

I had told her everything. I showed her my cover up, which she did like. She cried a little when I told her about Marci, but I expected it. I cried as well.

"Yeah, that's pretty much it," I said.

"Did I leave out anything?" she asked, turning to face me.

"No, but I do have one more thing to tell you," i said quietly. "You can't get mad, and please, just, don't freak out," I said, shifting in my seat.
