We stepped out of the Coop and walked to the front doors. I had a hold of Oli's hand. He squeezed mine tightly as we walked through the entrance and up to the front desk. The gang was no where to be seen. The must already be in with Danny.
The receptionist behind the counter smiled warmly at us. Oli leaned forward on the counter.
"Can I help you?" she asked with a smile.
"Danny Worsnop?" Oli asked. I leaned against Oli and watched the lady type into the computer.
"He's in room 206. But I think you already knew that," she said, smiling. We both laughed.
"Sorry. We're a little insane. Don't ever start a band. It'll ruin your life," Oli said, winking at the girl. She got a confused look on her face, which only made me and Oli laugh harder.
"And what ever you do, don't date a rock star, or become best friends with one either. You're life will be over come with chaos," I said. She was still lost, but I coulnd't help but to giggle.
We walked away from the desk and down the hall. We found the same room. Everyone was in there, and it looked like they were hosting a party. I sighed and shook my head. I swear they were as mature as a bunch of five year old boys. We walked into the room. Danny was standing on his hospital bed, shouting at the top of his lungs.
"Get me the fuck out of here!" he shouted. Ben was desperately trying to calm him down. Sam was talking to the poor nurse who was trapped in the corner. Danny had ripped out all of the tubes that had him hooked up the the machines he was on. A few on them were tipped over. Cam was having a shouting match with Matt and James. Oli ran over to break them up. I sighed and stormed over to Danny.
"Danny Robert, get your ass off this bed, now!" I shouted. He turned around to face me, ready to shout back, but he saw me and his face softened.
"Brodie! I- uh, I want out," he said, slowly sinking to the bed. Ben sighed with relief as Danny finally calmed down.
"What are you fucking doing, Danny?" I asked. I was mad. Trying to control these guys was impossible.
"I just want out, Brodie. Take me out of here, please?" he begged. I sighed, shaking my head. He could go to angry pit bull to soft, cuddly teddy bear in two seconds.
"Danny, you were supposed to get out tomorrow. But now, I think you've ruined that. What were you doing?" I asked. I reached up and touched his face. His head sunk into my hand.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted out," he whispered. I sighed again. I left his bed side and walked over to the nurse. She had finally gotten away from my crazy friends, and now she was on the phone with what I assumed to be security.
"Ma'am?" I asked softly. She turned and glared at me.
"You and your friends need to leave. especially that one," she spat, gesturing towards Danny. I sighed.
"I know ma'am, we are leaving. Danny is a little off his rocker, and I am terribly sorry for his behavior," I said. She only glared more.
"Just get them out of here. I am sick to death of you people. Coming in here like you own this joint, acting all bad-ass, it's ridiculous," she said, storming out of the room. I was speechless. I had never been spoken to like that. I thought about chasing after her and confronting her, but I decided it wasn't worth it.
Another nurse came in, a much younger and prettier one, which made Danny calm down a lot. He let her do a final check up, a big goofy grin plastered on his face. The rest of the gang started cleaning up the destroyed room. I was glad everyone had calmed down.
An older man came in. I figured it was the doctor. He glanced around at our wild bunch and shook his head. Then he turned to Danny. The pretty nurse left. I hoped he would keep his calm.
"Well Danny, I think your time here at the hospital is done. You've been rude, disrespectful, and have destroyed this room. I have never had such behavior from someone your age," the doctor said. Danny just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. I tried to stifle a giggle. He looked like a little kid getting lectured about spilled milk.
"Whatever, can I just go? My friends cleaned the room." he said. He was foul tempered again. I wanted to smack him.
"I'm not asking you to stay," the man said, walking out of the room. Danny smirked. Ben smacked him across the head, but he was smiling too.
"Come on you guys, we're leaving," James said. everyone nodded and started exiting the room. I walked over t Danny and Ben. Ben was helping Danny off his hospital bed. Once he was off, he turned to face me. He looked like a little puppy dog who just got in trouble. I couldn't help but smile. As much of a problem Danny always caused, I still loved him to death. I pulled him into a tight hug.
"Why you gotta be like this," I whispered. He shrugged, letting me go.
"You still love me?" he asked, grin back in place.
"Of course," I said. he smiled again and pushed my slightly back toward Oli. I fell back into his arms easily.
"You guys are fucking ridiculous," Oli said. Danny and Ben shrugged, leaving the room. Oli and I stood in each others arms for a few seconds.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too," I said back. He kissed the top of my head. I smiled and looked up at him.
"Can we go see Marci?" I asked. He smiled back and nodded. We left the room and headed to the elevators. I pushed the fourth floor button and we went up. I was still cradled in his arms. The elevator stopped on the third floor and opened it's doors. A tiny little girl standing with a nurse stepped into the elevator. She was attached to an ivy, and she had a bright pink bandanna tied on her head. I smiled warmly.
"Going up?" I asked. She smiled back up at me.
"Yes, please," she said. I felt my heart ache. The fourth floor was for cancer patients, and judging by her appearance, she was one of them. She was so tiny. She was pale, and didn't have an shoes on. But her big, brown eyes blinked up at me. She didn't have any eye lashes either. I tried not to cry as she turned toward Oli. He smiled down at her.
"Did those things hurt?" she asked. He gave her a questioning look.
"What things?" he asked. She giggled.
"These," she said, reaching out to touch his hand, tracing his tattoos. He smiled, eyes softening.
"Some of them," he said, crouching down so he was level with her. Her eyes lit up as he rolled up his sleeves so she could see more. Her tiny fingers touched them lightly. Her favorite was his rose on his neck.
"That one hurt," he chuckled. He flipped over his hands, showing her his palm tattoos. She giggled. "See this one? It says high five. Do you know what that means?" he asked. She laughed and smacked his hand with her tiny one.
"Good job!" he said. She giggled with delight. The elevator dinged, letting us out.
"What's your name, sweetie," Oli asked before she left.
"Kara," she said. He took a small piece of paper that her nurse let him borrow and wrote "I love Kara" on it. I thought she was going to giggle to death.
"Thank you," her nurse said. Oli got up from his spot on the floor with Kara.
"For what?" he asked, wrapping his arm around my waist.
"For doing this. She doesn't get any visitors, and she really loves people," her nurse said, walking away after Kara who was now racing down the hall as fast as she could.
"Who wouldn't want to see her?" I whispered, watching the sweet little girl turn down the corner, disappearing out of sight.
"Who knows baby," Oli whispered, kissing the side of my head. I sighed. I had never seen Oli act like that before. He was so sweet and patient, letting her touch every tattoo she possibly could.
"That was sweet of you," I said, turning the corner to head to my aunt's room.
"What? I like kids," he said sheepishly. I smiled. It was reasons like that that made me fall deeper and deeper in love with Oliver Sykes.
