But, I Love You (5-22-11)

A friend has held

my entire heart.

A lover has broken it.

A Replacement fixed it,

Only to break it again.

I thought they all loved me.

I thought they needed me.

I guess i was wrong.

Let's stick to being friends,

I don't want to hurt you.

But when i see you,

I feel so safe.

But when i see you,

All is well.

Made me forget my pain.

You painted a rainbow in the darkness for me.

You held my hand like

you've been holding it all along.

You saved my heart.

Like you were some hero.

My Hero.

You had no other power,

but the power of love.

You had no other strength,

but the strength of your heart was good enough.

Don't you dare leave me,

I need you now.

I'll need you forever.

You may not know it now,

You may never even know it.

But, I Love You.
