Recap: Chapter 15 -

We entered the room that we were next due in.

Laughing at the sight in front of us, we walked over to a corner and waited for other people and a teacher.

Clothes from the Demon Realm lined the walls. I was still chuckling.

“What do you think they’ll m-make us do?” I snorted.

The boys beside me looked horrified. “I thought I left that shit behind.” Charis said. “I prefer Earths way to dress.”

I looked back at the clothes. Here on Earth, they would be considered ‘Victorian Style’. In the Demon Realm, we were ahead of Earth by far. We didn’t use much technology, but we could create it with ease anytime. But the way we dressed was different, as I said; Victorian era.

Zack put his head on his knees and cursed. “They’re going to make us find outfits for the trip and make sure we can put them on.” He cussed again.

I laughed at their horrified expressions and long lines of profanity as people walked into the class room followed by a teacher.

Chapter 16:

The room was golden again, lit up by candles and music played through the building. People danced and drank, socializing and enjoying the evening. But my eyes were searching for someone. I looked up to the balcony and there he was. His blue eyes made him stand out. He looked about 16 now.

I hadn’t been able to see him for a while, so I wasn’t sure.

He was wearing a suit and leaning on the balcony’s rail, staring over the crowd.

I looked down at the grey, lace dress I was wearing. My black hair fell to my bottom and my blue eyes must have shone as soon as I saw him.

Walking fast up the stairs I made my way to him as gracefully as I could.

Before I made it to him, I blinked, and he was gone; walking down a corridor.

I walked faster, behind him down the corridor now.

I called his name, but he didn’t turn around.

I ran up to him, grabbing his arm gently. But he shook me off, walking faster.

“W-wait.” I tried desperately. He didn’t turn around and kept walking again. I stopped in my tracks, “fine then…” I muttered, annoyed. What was stuck up his butt? A giant metal pole? I hadn’t seen him for ages, yet here he was, running from me.

Here we were, drifting further and further apart. How could I stop it? One year, I had waited one year to see him.

I sighed, upset and disappointed. If that was the way he was going to be, then I couldn’t stop it. How could I? The more I wanted to, the more I missed him. The more I missed him, the more I slipped. All I would have left of him soon would be memories.

I ran and turned down the way he had. But I froze. He was talking to a beautiful blond noble. She wore a red dress, corset and all. She smiled at him, showing her fangs a little. How rude. But he smiled back.
