John leads a lonely life, no friends, his parents never at home and an only child, but he doesn't mind. He prefers the silence and peace of being alone. Every night after school, he walks around the city alone, in order to just kill time, so he doesn't have to sit in his room bored. He goes and sees many places, but he has lived in this city most his life, so he knows everything about it and a bit more then what others see. He is 17, has a job on the weekends at a little diner in central city. He has this little spot at a lookout that has been closed for years, that he goes to almost every night, in order to watch the moon. The moon he sees isn't mysterious or strange or even beautiful, no, the moon he sees is lonely and painful because the city lights have made it impossible to make out the stars. There is one more thing you should know about John before we begin this story, he sees ghosts and talks to them, he isn't alone because he always has a ghost friend with him. His best friend since he found out he was able to see her is Cindy. She is a little shorter then him, brunette and he imagines she was a bit of a klutz when she was alive. In contrast, he is 6 feet tall, mop like brown hair, but he has eyes that everyone thinks are strange, his right eye is brown, but his left eye is red. He used to be bullied about it, but in the end, he showed that he wouldn't react to bullies, so they left him alone. Our story begins on that lookout on a particularly special night.
