CHAPTER 7 "The Shewder, Kenzo"

DUMATING si Oceana sa Company na pag-aari nila. Kung saan dito rin nagta-trabaho si Erine. The Benedicto's Publishing Company. Oceana runs the commercial production and issuance of literature, information, musical scores or sometimes recordings, or art: newspaper publishing and software publishing. She's the CEO.

"Oceana.." marahang tawag ni Rhyco sa dalaga nang makita niya ito sa may lobby ng Company. She's on her formal suit, carrying her elegant shoulder bag with her. Nilingon naman niya ang lalaki.

"Rhyco. You're here." Pormal na wika ni Oceana. She starts acting bothered. Di pa man tuluyang nakalapit si Rhyco, mukhang alam na niya ang pakay nito. He's cool and handsome.

"I don't see Erine, around. Where is she?" Tanong nito nang magkaharap na sila. Ramdam ni Oceana na pinapawisan na siya.

"She's somewhere in Palawan. She asked me an indefinite leave. She deserves a break, after all." Tugon ni Oceana.

"Where in Palawan?" Tanong nito. Si Rhyco Evangelista, ang masugid na manliligaw ni Erine. He's a wealthy young man. Matagal na itong nanliligaw sa dalaga. Oceana take some steps to the vacant table, and Rhyco follows her. He pulls a chair and assists her to sit. Naupo naman ito sa isang silyang nakaharap sa dalaga.

"I'm sure, just somewhere in Puerto Prinsesa." Sabi ni Oceana. "Actually, I'm planning of going there. I've missed my bestfriend so much." Bigla namang napangiti si Rhyco. He likes the idea.

"You're telling me that, because you also want me to go there, right?" Tanong ni Rhyco. Tumango naman ng marahan si Oceana. "So, when?"

"Since, you're going with me.. why, don't we hire a private plane?" Tanong ni Oceana.

"Alright." Tugon ni Rhyco. "What about, tonight?"

"Tomorrow, Rhyco." Sabi ng dalaga saka napatingin sa kanyang wristwatch. "I have to take care of the Company before leaving. Wala si Erine dito. Wala rin si Fifah."

"Good." Sabi ni Rhyco. "Well, then I've got to go." Nang makaalis si Rhyco, agad namang nagtungo si Oceana sa opisina ni Erine. Naupo siya sa swivel chair nito. Hawak niya ngayon ang naka-framed na larawan ni Erine kasama siya. It was taken in Boracay, few months ago.

"Bakit, hindi kita ma-contact? Bakit, hindi ka na nakatawag? Erine, where in heaven are you?" She asks while looking at their picture. "I'm sure na malinaw sa atin ang dapat mong gawin sa El Tierro."
But, knowing how Kenzo Villahermosa is, hindi niya maiwasang mag-alala. Mag-alalang baka isa na sa associate ni Kenzo ang bestfriend niya. Ngayon ay hawak ni Oceana ang name plate ni Erine. Reading her name and her position in the Company.

"Alexise Catherine Arquiza: "Executive Editor-In-Chief." Yes, Erine is. Matalino si Erine. She's a quick-learner in everything. She's versatile. Aside from her position in the Company, she's also one of the best selling-author. She's a great journalist, too.

Rhyco Evangelista owns a theatre Company. Marami na ring akda ni Erine ang naisa-pelikula na nito. Erine is one of Rhyco's script writer and of course a director too. She's young and beautiful. Wala kang maipipintas sa kanya.

"What if, you already fall for Kenzo? What if he falls in love with you? No." Sabi ni Oceana. "I'm just being so paranoid. Matalino ang bestfriend mo, Oceana. At alam na niyang minahal mo si Kenzo. Hindi niya ito papatulan. Remember she's there to avenge you. Para maturuan ng leksyon si Kenzo!" dugtong ni Oceana sa sarili. Hindi na rin siya nagtagal sa opisina ni Erine.
