Chapter 12

~January~ 

So we have been in school for a while. Corey and I were still together. I spent New Year's with him we had a blast. We kind of got drunk what a great start haha. Today is a Saturday and Corey invited me to supper with his parents. I was kind of nervous this is like the second time I was around his parents. He's around my parents more than he is with his own. It's nice to have him around though. I woke up and walked downstairs I was wearing these teal zebra print pajama pants with one of Corey's shirt that was to small for him. It had his last name on it so it makes me feel special, well he tells me I'm special all the time. My thoughts were interrupted when my mom was yelling at me.

Mom- Addison Lee Hartsgrave get downstairs and get your chores done.

Addie- Mom, I am like right behind you.

Mom- Sorry I didn't know. 

I walked outside in my pajama pants. My hair was in a messy bun and I had nerd glasses on. I didn't know that Corey was suppose to be coming over this morning. I heard a pickup come in our driveway and I saw it was Corey. I ran to the barn but it was kind of hard wearing boots. I got the grain put in the buckets then I went to the stalls where the horses were and put the grain in it. I cleaned the stalls out and put fresh water in there for them. I was about to finish putting the hay in the feeders when Corey walked into the barn.

Corey- Well don't you look cute today! He said while smiling.

Addie- Yeah well I didn't think you were gonna be here so early. Plus I was being lazy.

Corey- I can tell that you were being lazy, but that's ok. I actually came to tell you about dinner tonight. My sister Jamie will be there now I guess.

Addie- Ok sounds good.

With that Corey leaned down and kissed me we were hugging for a while until his mom called. He left to go to get some things for his mom. I walked inside and waited till it was time for me to get ready.

~1 Hour Before Dinner~

It was 1 hour before Corey was coming to pick me up. I took a shower then I got dressed I was wearing a pair of miss me jeans with embellishments on the back pockets. Then I wore a miss me t- shirt with a cross on it. I put my makeup on and brushed my hair. I looked in the mirror before heading downstairs. I heard Corey talking to my parents when I got to the bottom step everyone looked at me. They all smiled my mom took pictures of Corey and I. I have no idea why though. I put my boots on and we left. I sat beside Corey and across from his younger sister Jamie. We ordered our food and talked for a while. It was going really well until something sparked the fire. 

Mckenzie- So Addie, are you and my son that serious.

Addie- Umm yeah we are.

Mckenzie- Do you plan on having kids?

Addie- Yeah, but why are we talking about that.

Corey- Mom stop can we seriously be nice.

Jamie- I'm going to the bathroom

Mckenzie- How many times have you and my son had sex?

Addie- Oh my god! I'm sorry Corey but this is  going way too far. 

I stood up and walked towards the door. Corey drove me home and it was complete silence. I got out of his pickup and ran upstairs with tears falling down my face. My mom ran up after me. I barged into my room and flopped down on my bed still crying. My mom came in and held me I told her everything that had happened. I felt stupid I should have stayed and maybe Corey wouldn't be pissed off at me.
