Chapter Thirty-Five

Nagkita sina Miles at Cheska sa isang coffee shop. She didn't also expect na magkasama rin sina Luigi at Jack doon. The four of them ate lunch together but Jack went out first. Pinuntahan ni Jack sa ospital at sinamahan ang kaibigang si Chris. Nagkita na naman silang muli ni Cheska sa ospital pero bigla na lang dumating si Gino ang nagpakita sa kanilang dalawa.

Chapter Thirty-Five

"Talagang magkikita pa tayo ritong tatlo," Gino said to them as Cheska and Jack were just both looking daggers at the guy.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Cheska asked rudely. Sa lahat pa ng taong madadatnan niya doon, talagang magpapakita pa sa kanya ang ex-boyfriend niyang si Gino. Yes, she has completely moved on but seeing the guy in front of her, hindi maiwasang kumulo ang dugo niya. Gino was just there, standing cockily at them na parang bang wala itong ginawang masama sa kanya.

"I'm just visiting someone here," Kibit-balikat nitong sagot. "You?"

"It's none of your business," Sabi naman ni Cheska rito. Hindi niya ito pinansin at nilampasan lang ito. Leaving Jackson behind too. She wasn't really in the mood to talk—especially to Gino. Pumunta lang kasi siya doon para samahan ang kapatid niyang si Chris kung saan nasa comatose state sa mga oras na iyon ang girlfriend nitong si Diana. Her brother's girlfriend got a stage 4 brain cancer.

"Oh, yeah, by the way I heard na nagkita na pala kayo ulit ni Lana, how was it?" Gino suddenly asked. Kaagad namang napalingon dito si Cheska. She raised her eyebrow at him.

"Narinig ko rin na sila na pala ng kapatid mong si Chace? Wow. I didn't expect that Lana would be that fast. May issues pa nga kayo and then she did it, wow, really." The guy added. Mas lalo namang kumunot ang noo ni Cheska sa mga sinasabi nito. The nerve of this guy to say all those things.

"Say what you want, you know, I don't care about it anymore," She just replied and turned her back at him. Hindi siya mag-aaksaya ng oras para lang patulan ito sa mga sinasabi nito sa kanya.

Pero bago pa man siya tuluyang makalayo, Gino suddenly interrupted, "You know, I didn't love you."

Napahinto naman si Cheska dahil sa sinabi nito—without turning around at him.

"It was fine with me, cheating with you. Anyway, hindi naman kita minahal. I never did love you." Dagdag pa nito. Gino was just acting like he was cool about it, "I just used you."

"Ginamit lang kita, to get even with your brother, Chace. You know.. may atraso kasi siya sa kin. I already knew that Lana and you have been close friends, and I took the chance. Then I didn't expect that you would take the bait that easily." Kaagad namang napalingon si Cheska rito dahil sa mga sinasabi nito sa kanya.

Of all this time? Puro kasinungalingan lang ang lahat ng nangyayari sa kanila?

"I also found out na may gusto pala sa kin si Lana so I took the chance. Pinalabas ko na we've cheated behind your back but nothing happened really. And so your feud with her started. At nagkasunod-sunod na ang mga plano ko." Gino then gave her a sly grin.

"I just used you, Cheska. I never loved you."

Pero nagulat na lang silang lahat nang biglang sinuntok ni Jackson si Gino kaya naman kaagad itong napahiga sa sahig. Jackson was glaring at the guy furiously.

Unting-unti namang nagbagsakan ang mga luha ni Cheska dahil sa mga narinig niya. All this time, ginamit lang pala siya. She wasted everything just because of one man whom she thought who loved her but turned out to be a lie?
