-June 7th
Lexi...
"Mommy." Someone called out in the darkness.
I glanced at my alarm clock next to the bed to see what time it was.
3:57 AM.
Fetty was out of town for a show he did yesterday and today, on his birthday, he was to go and perform at the Summer Jam.
So, I had the bed all to myself. At least I thought I did.
"Mommy." I heard again.
I groaned and turned to see Aydin standing by the bed on Fetty's side. "What is it baby?" I asked.
"I'm scared. I had a bad dream." He mumbled while clutching onto his Spider-Man blanket.
I moved over and patted the empty spot in the bed next to me. "I guess it'll be okay since mommy and the baby needs some company." I joked.
Aydin was aware that there was a baby in my stomach by now. I'll be two months pregnant next week.
I put the blankets over us and we both went back to sleep.
.....
"Good morning, handsome." I said to Aydin as he slowly came down the stairs, rubbing his eyes.
"Good morning, mommy." He replied and came and sat next to me on the couch.
"You brush your teeth?" I asked.
"Two times." He sleepily replied and held up two fingers.
I giggled and held my arms open for him to sit on my lap. "Oh really now?"
He nodded his head. "Can we call daddy? I want to tell him happy birthday."
I giggled and grabbed my cell phone. "Okay. We'll FaceTime him and see if he's not too busy." I told him, scrolling through my contacts.
We waited for a minute before he answered.
"Hey, baby." He answered, licking his lips.
"What have you done to your hair?" I giggled. He had dreads in his hair now and I was taken back by it. "Your hair isn't even long enough for- whatever."
He shook his head and played in his hair for a while.
I smiled and said, "Aydin wanted to say something to you." I let Aydin hold the phone.
"Wassup, lil' zoo." Fetty chuckled.
"Happy birthday, daddy!" He yelled.
I covered my ear and moved Aydin off of my lap. "You stay on the phone, I'm going upstairs to grab something." I instructed.
Then I left him to talk to Fetty for a minute so that I could go ahead and take my prenatal vitamins for the day.
.....
"Hey, idiot." Taya greeted as she walked into the front door.
I sat on the couch, tying up Aydin's shoes. "I think you should be watching me so that you could learn, don't you think?" I laughed.
He shook his head. "Why when you tie my shoes all the time?"
"The kids in school will make fun of you." I told him, finishing up his left shoe.
"I wish the fuck they would make fun of my baby. Auntie Taya got you, Zoo. I'll kick they lil' ass if they wanna talk shit." She high-fived him.
"Gosh Tay, watch your mouth." I laughed and grabbed my phone off of the table.
"I'm a grown woman." She sassed.
"Are you sassing me, young woman?" I asked, moving my eyebrow to the side.
"Would my sassing you hurt your feelings? Because if so, yes. I am sassing you." She snapped back.
"Man, let's go."
I was going to surprise Fetty for his birthday by showing up backstage at the Summer Jam with Aydin.
Monty left a bit earlier with Jaylon and Taya decided to go with me and Aydin.
.....
"Where's daddy?" Aydin repeatedly asked as I held his hand, walking backstage.
"He's somewhere back here getting ready to perform." I replied.
"...I'm hungry." He said.
I went to reach in my bag for some animal crackers when I remembered that I'd given them to Taya.
"Taya, give your nephew his crackers." I pushed open a set of doors.
"Here, Zoo." She quietly said, handing him a small plastic baggie of crackers.
"Thank you, Auntie Taya."
"Dice!" I whisper yelled once I'd seen him standing next to Monty. The two were in on the plan and I'm glad their stupid asses didn't tell Fetty anything.
"What's up? Where's Will?" I asked, hugging him from the side.
"He in the back gettin' dressed." Dice pointed in the direction of the room.
"Taya, could you keep a close eye on Aydin?" I asked.
She nodded as she hugged Jaylon, considering the fact she hadn't seen him all day. Then she said something to Aydin and Jaylon.
I didn't knock on the door, instead in just walked in.
"Bruh, I said not to let anybody in here." He mumbled.
"So, you don't want to see your girlfriend?" I said, shutting the door behind me.
"What the hell?" He quickly put the shirt he had in his hands on and came to engulf me in a hug, rubbing my back.
"Happy birthday, baby. I missed you." I said with my face pressed against his chest.
"Thanks," He lightly laughed. "And we only been apart for like two days."
I laughed. "I know. But I love being around you." I smirked and pulled away from the hug to peck his lips. "I just wanted to see my baby before he hit the stage. Aydin will be here to see you later." I added.
He raised an eyebrow and put a sweatshirt on over his shirt. "Oh, word? Y'all jus' surprisin' a nigga on his special day, huh?"
I shrugged. "That's what it looks like, right? And it is too damn hot to be wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. It is June 7th for crying out loud!" I giggled.
He smacked my ass and dragged me over to the door. "Bruh, let's just go before I end up fuckin' you in this room."
