It's funny how quickly you're life can be changed. How fast it can go from being an average day to an amazing one just from someone's smile in passing, or someone moving for you on the bus. Or there is other moments when everything that was once so simple can suddenly be turned upside down. This is our story.

My name is Lylla Hemmings, I'm 17, I play the guitar, sing, and I am a twin. Yea, that's right a twin. My brother's name is Luke, he sings and plays the guitar as-well, he is really over-protective but that's only because he basically raised me. My parents are away a lot they work on a law firm and are constantly travelling, "saving the world" my dad says. When they are away Luke becomes a father-figure to me and acts like he's 27 instead of 17. When my parents are here Luke and I are basically inseparable, that's the weird thin siblings, especially brother's and sister's are meant to fight but we just don't, occasionally bicker, I'd be lying if I didn't say that, but we never full on fight- it must be a twin thing. We just click, like best friends. We have the same group of friends consisting of two guys- Calum Hood, he sings and plays the bass, we have known him since we were born our mum's were best friends in university, and wanted their kids to be good friends just like they had found in each other. So it's safe to say there are many pictures of us growing up together, from the classic- sitting in the paddling pool together as toddlers, to hanging in his lounge watching DVDs stuffing our faces. The other was Michael, Luke and Michael met in detention in year 11 after both being kicked out of there individual classes for being disruptive. After we found out Michael played the guitar one day while chilling in his room we decided to form a band, in mine and Luke's garage, "Cos', that's where awesome band's start out, before they go big," Luke informed us while we contemplated a "banding" area. We do covers mostly, I've written a couple of songs but I'd never suggest them to play, it's a bit confronting to get out there and be like, "Hey Guys! I wrote my own song lets play it and talk about our emotions!", that'd be a bit too weird and personal.

It all started one day when we were "banding". We took a break to get a drink and re-fuel, or in other words stuff our faces. Calum starts to talk about a boy moving from Melbourne to Sydney, where we live. Apparently he was friends with Calum's cousin, and is a pretty good drummer. "He went through some stuff in Melbourne and just needed a change of pace, my cousin said. I told him we were looking for a good drummer and he is gonna come see us on Thursday." Calum tells us. I look at my friends surrounding me they nodded it seems like a good idea, even I was going to admit. I've gone along with some of Calum and Luke's idea's in the past and they didn't end well, to say the least, but this seems okay. If it works out we could end up with a new drummer, and by the sounds of it he knows what he's doing, and you never know we could make a new friend. Not that I don't love my friends, but getting to know someone new could be a nice change.
