"Buzz...buzz...buzz..."
"Ugh, stupid alarm." I grunted, reaching over to shut off the incessant beeping-but in the process slapping a mound of human in the face.
"Go away mum." Ash rolled over so his back was facing me. I was more awake now and remembered falling asleep in the car home from last-nights' escapades.
"You know; you can tell a lot about a boy from the way he treats his mother." I smirk, waiting for realization to dawn on poor curly.
"Lylla? Why are you in my room?" Asha says, the pillow muffling his reply.
"I think I should ask you the same question." I smirk at the back of his head. It takes him so long to reply I start to think he's drifted-off again.
Ashton lifts his head up from the pillow, slowly staring at me sleepily-with his eyes still half-closed. I petted him on his little fluffy head and he groaned slightly, mushing his face back into my pink pillowcase.
"Okay then, you sleep awhile longer, and I'll go get ready for school." I gave him a final pat, moving out of the bed while he rolled on his tummy.
I got dressed in the bathroom and came out to find Ashton in 'starfish position'-snoring.
"Oi, idiot. Get out of my bed." I poked his cheeks, gaining more grumbling in the process and a now-awake Asha saying, "That's not a nice way to wake someone up."
"Says the one who woke me up at 3.00 in the morning by climbing through my window, like a stalker." I sassed.
"It was meant to be romantic." A sleepy Ash whined, trying to lie down again.
"No, no, no. Up." I poked his cheeks and sides, until he fully arose and got up.
"Happy?" he sassed me.
"Never." I raised an eyebrow at him and smirked. Asha smirked right back before he jumped on me and began to tickle.

Ashton snuck out the window when I was ready to go and drove us back to his house, parking the car in its usual spot and scampering inside to get ready in a dash before we walked to school together. Lucky for us Luke couldn't catch us, he had left early to "see a friend before school."
'Friend'-not fooling anyone Luke looks like him and the girl from his song are back on again.
After Luke's phone beeped and he scurried out the door hastily, leaving mum and I (who was making lunch in the kitchen) sharing a knowing look and eye-roll.
When we got to school, Ashton and I timed it so I walked up to the boys first-followed by him two minutes later.
Ashton greeted everyone as he approached sharing 'bro-hugs' and straightening Luke's wonky tie.
"What's everyone got?" Calum asks,
"English." Mikey replies rolling his eyes over-dramatically.
"We've got maths." Luke nods towards Calum.
"Art." Ashton and I say together before looking at each other in surprise and staring at the ground. School had technically started last week, but classes hadn't officially started until Thursday so I hadn't really got the whole Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday timetable down yet.
The day went by quickly-thankfully. The only refuge being my art-period with Ash. We'd sat close together and shared secret-smiles each time we saw the other looking away from the 'Vanitas' paintings we were meant to be working on.
By home-time the clouds were lingering, Luke and I walked back together-eyeing the potential down-pour, like it was death.
