Luke was still in a strop when we exited the car. Ash climbed out first, going around the car and opening my door to help me out afterward. I took his hand and the familiar tingling returned. I pretended not to notice and place my bare feet one at a time on the sandy concrete having taken off my shoes earlier to dance, they now sat abandoned with my purse under the drivers seat.

I let go of Ash's hand after giving it a squeeze acknowledging the pins-and-needles touch. Michael hopped out and headed to the boot, Ash followed. Leaving me alone until a still-slightly buzzed Calum reappeared. He smiled at me and resumed Asha's spot beside me. I jumped as the boot smashed down and Mikey and Ashtons torso's were once again seen. Ash joined Cal and I. We all stood in a comfortable silence and watched Luke tried to protest when Michael dragged him out of the car, closed the door and locked it leaving Luke looking longingly on.

Michael picked his picnic basket, he had retrieved from the trunk, up and began to head towards the water. Luke followed, seeing no other option. Ashton picked up his basket that had been placed at his feet, giving me and Cal a smile before heading to the sand.
