I sat down at the table, next to Aly. Kay and Lucinda came soon after and sat across from us.
“Hey Natalie, what’d Binns say to you and Malfoy?” Lucinda asked. I had forgotten that she was in my class. I was about to answer when-
“That is none of your damn business.” I turned my head to see who was standing behind me. Draco. He looked down at me and handed me a piece of paper. “You dropped this. I’m surprised you didn’t mention me. Oh, and thank you… for the rating.” He smirked and walked away. I turned back around with my jaw hanging halfway down my body.
“For the rating!?” Aly poked me. Her eyes, wide with curiosity, soon met The Rate Book sitting on the table.
Both our hands grabbed the book. “Come on Natalie!” She whined as we pulled on the book.
“No way! You’re not looking in that book!” I pulled harder.
“HEY!” Kay yanked the notebook from us and turned to the latest page. “There’s a good way to settle it. I’ll just look.” She scanned the paper until she found what she was looking for.
“Oh. My. God.” She starred at the page. I bit my lip and shot Aly a glare when she elbowed my side.
“Luc, look at this! Look what she wrote!” Kay held the book so Lucinda could see, but I couldn’t.
“Natalie! He’s like, the Slytherin Prince… you just can’t!” She hissed. He’s the what?!
“Ugh, let me see that!” I took the notebook and looked at the paper. Clearly written in handwriting so close to mine was:
Draco Malfoy- 10 (for amazing eyes and confidence. Overall sexy.)
I’m going to kill that little asshole! I closed the book and threw it down on the table.
Aly saw what it said and everyone sat there staring at me. “Natalie? Is there something you want to tell us?” She asked. I shook my head and got up, taking my things with me. But I just stood there for a moment. Thinking… about the paper Draco gave me.
I pulled it out of my doodling notebook and opened the folded sheet of notebook paper. My stomach knotted because the paper was familiar, too familiar. It was my letter to my parents. But why would Draco care if I put him in my letter? Little does he know, he’s in the letter to Laney. But that’s not even a good thing.
I pushed the letter out of my mind and stuffed it in my notebook. I had to deal with what he wrote in The Rate Book.
“He’s such a man whore.” I muttered, making my way to where Draco was sitting. I taped the girl next to him. “Hi, can I talk to you for a second? Won’t take long!” I said in cheery voice.
She got up and I immediately took her spot. “Hey! I was sitting there!” I rolled my eyes and looked at Draco who was glaring at me. “Drakie,” She whined. I spun around and looked at her. “Oh, I get it. You’re jealous, huh?” I put my hand on Draco’s shoulder and ran my hand down his arm.
Her face twisted into rage and I smirked at her, enough to force her to leave. And she did. She pouted and stomped away to another boy. Immediately, I took my hand from Draco’s arm and turned towards him.
“What are you doing here?” His voice was tough and had an annoyed tone to it. He sure as hell wasn’t pleased to see me.
