Okay, heads up, I put Haydn's POV first. I just wanted to change it.

Enjoy (but this is more of a filler. I really want to get on with the trip)

First Love

Chapter twelve

Haydn's POV:

We were at the airport, waiting for the plane at the wait area.

"Eee! We're going to New York City!" Ciara shrieked.

All of Mrs Simmons' classes were heading to NYC. That in included Luke and Michael, who had her Lit class after the Study Hall period we shared.

Ciara seemed inseparable from Michael. With her high-pitched squeak and all-around attitude problem, she would've given me a chronic migraine. At least when I was her friend she didn't cling onto me like koala.

"Not to mention that the course is only for half the week and the school's letting us go free and easy for the rest of it," Michael added.

It was true. The Literature course was lasting for three days, so we were given the next four days to do whatever we wanted, on the condition that we each wore GPS chips (have I mentioned that Duncan Prep has A LOT of funds? Well, it does) and called our chaperones for the trip (Mrs Simmons and Ms O'Donnell, a sub) if we had a problem.

"Four days for me to take you to Central Park, the Empire State building and maybe even the Rockefeller Centre," Luke stared lovingly into Stacey's eyes.

I could have gagged. Those two were worse than Miara. Basically, our group was now six people, but three couples.

"What about me, Haydn? Wanna take me out?" Leia teased.

"Sure," I said, laughing airily. "What about Tiffany's and Broadway?"

"Hey, I'm not complaining if you're there with me me," she replied flirtatiously.

"Anyway," Stacey interrupted. "it's time to board the plane."

"I'm in 8A (we took business class)," Ciara announced.

"Yippee," I heard Leia mutter sarcastically. I'd seen her boarding pass earlier-her seat was 8B. Mine was 9C, with Luke and Michael. The school made precautions to put girls and guys away. Like in the hotel, we were on entirely different levels.

"Aw, I'm with you," Stacey enveloped Leia in a giant hug, having escaped from Luke's loving clutches.

"Have a nice flight," the flight attendants greeted us, before instructing us on the direction to go to to reach our seats quickly.

I gave Leia a small kiss before we each took our seats. " Good luck."

"I'll need it," she laughed.

Soon, the plane started take off.

Ciara began her complaints.

It wasn't her first plane ride (she would at least have ridden it from San Francisco to Los Angeles). But she was whining that her ears hurt.

Her ears still hurt throughout the plane ride, although she didn't complain as much.

That wasn't by far her only complaint and the people in the seats in front of her tried, and failed, shutting her up.

I routinely heard Leia groan when Ciara 'tried' to be nice and start a conversation with her, but interrupting the conversation Leia was already having with Stacey.
