Hi Guys!!!

I am so sorry that I have not posted for the last 2 months! I have been so caught up with schoolwork that I have had no opportunity to do it. Anyway, I hope you like it. This isn't my best work but you deserve something for waiting for two months ;)

Enjoy!!!

Naina POV:

I entered the semi-filled cafe, with Abhi in tow. I scanned the area for my three friends. I didn't expect it to be this empty considering that most people come during this time. I spotted Jiya waving like a maniac in our direction.

"Ready?" I whispered to Abhi as we made our way to the back of the cafe to where Jiya, Rohan and Anjali were seated.

"Mhhmm" Abhi replied. I glanced back at him to see his eyes fixated on someone. I followed his eyes to none other than Anjali. I smiled to myself. As much as I love meddling in Abhi's life, I let him go for now, but later I am going to grill him about this.

"Jiya!! Hey guys" I came up to their table. "This is my friend Abhi. Abhi this is Jiya, Rohan and...Anjali" I pointed to each one of them, lingering before saying Anjali's name.

"Hey, nice to meet you, guys." Abhi smiled at everyone. He individually shook everyone's hands, but he spent just a little more time on Anjali's hand.

We sat down and from there the conversation took off. Abhi slowly eased his way into the conversations and by the time our food came, it was like he was part of the group all along.

Abhi's POV:

Naina's friends are great. Every conversation we had was interesting. We went from discussing courses to the latest concert in town to the politics, and none of us even like politics.

"Jiya, Rohan and I will go get the food!" Naina announced when the little rectangle buzzed, signalling that our food was ready.

"I'll come and help" I got out of my chair.

"No! I mean, it's ok, we have enough people." Jiya smirked. Okay then...

"Anjali, have you seen that new movie?" I asked, trying to get a conversation out of her. I didn't want to sit in an awkward silence. For some reason I feel like I'm trying harder than I should be. I mean, it's not like I like her or anything. She is really pretty and quite funny but no.

"I love you and all Abhi but I think you're going to have to elaborate just a little bit more." She giggled. My heart jumped when she said I love you. But it didn't mean anything. Of course it didn't. Honestly Abhi, you're getting worked up for nothing.

"Haha I thought you would be able to figure out which one considering you are the movie aficionado." I teased.

"Oh wow! I see how it is, just because I am the movie aficionado and magically know every movie in existence that is 'new'." She tried keeping a straight face but there was a small smirk on her lips. Her soft pink lips. God Abhi! Stop it!

"Exactly! I guess you aren't the movie expert I thought you were. Shame." I said with a completely straight face. Ten seconds of us staring each other down before we burst into laughter.

We continued our conversation until our food came and even after that, the conversations never stopped.

*** (Couple of weeks later)
Naina's POV:

The week was filled with me reading each and every chapter of each textbook that I own. They say that uni is where you have fun, it is but what they don't tell you is the gigantic amount of work you have to do. Friday had finally come and I was ready to sleep. No parties, no studying, just me, my bed and netflix. Aman and I had been going well. We had met a couple of times during the week between lecture breaks. We were texting non-stop throughout the week but there was something that bugged me. I couldn't put my finger on it but something was different.

I slipped into my pajamas and tied my hair back into a messy high pony. I'm so glad that I get to relax. The warmth of the bed engulfs my body, leaving only very little to make me feel more comfortable than ever before. I reach for my laptop and start to scroll through the endless options that appear before me. I shortlist three movies and the decision to choose between the three was baffling. I decided to settle on The Notebook. I had seen this more times than I would like to admit but it never gets old.

The opening credits begin and I grab the tissue box. Everytime I watch this movie I manage to end up bawling. I manage to be so focused on the movie too much to realise that my phone had been buzzing constantly for the last minute. I unlocked my phone to see my name, in caps, texted to me ten times.

Naina: Aman!! What happened?
Aman: FInally!! Nothing happened. Are you busy? Can I call?
Naina: Nah I'm not busy.

Just as I was about text to ask him why Aman didn't just call me in the first place, he manages to call me.
"Hello Aman." I chuckled. He always manages to make me laugh and I can never figure out why.
"Oh hi there Naina. How are you doing?" Aman said in an almost convincing innocent voice.
"I'm good. Aman, why didn't you just call me in the first place?" I replied, trying my best to sound innocent without cracking up.
"Because what if I called but then you were asleep. I didn't want to wake you up."
"Aman, it's 7:30 in the evening. Why would I be asleep?"
"You never know!! I didn't want to disturb you." I could hear the smile in his voice.
"How sweet!!" I mocked him. Aman is so cute.
"Anyway!! Watcha doooin?" He asked, in a sing song tone.
"I'm watching a moovie. What are about you?" I reply, in an equally sing song tone. I love these phone conversations with Aman. As ridiculous as it might sound, they are one of the best things I like to do with him.
"Not important. Ooo!! Are you eating popcorn and watching the movie?"
"No I'm not eating popcorn. I -"
"You aren't eating popcorn!! What's wrong with you?? I am coming over right now!!" He said frantically.
"Aman wait! You don't -" I tried stopping him but it was too late. When Aman makes up his mind, there is no way you can change it.
"No if's and but's! I will be over in ten minutes!!" Aman says and then hangs up the phone.

I laugh to myself.I can't believe that Aman is coming over and just like that. How did I get so lucky to have someone as sweet and cute as Aman.
