Naina POV: (1 week later - Friday)
I woke up with the same feeling, I've woken up with for the past several days....unhappiness. There is no other way to put it. I could have said, depressed, dull, lonely. But I'm not feeling any of those emotions. I just felt plain unhappy. After I made it clear to Aman and Abhi that I didn't want to speak to them, they left me alone. Well..kind of. Both of them did message me a couple of times everyday but I did not even bother to open the messages.
I will admit that I do miss the two of them. I miss hanging out with Abhi and speaking to Aman but I'm still annoyed with them so as far as I am concerned, I am not talking to them.I pulled the usual casual clothes from my cupboard after doing my usual morning routine. It was starting to get a bit more cooler during the days. I threw on a pair of black jeans, leather combat boots and a khaki shirt. I kept my stuff in my bag, had a smoothie and made my way to class.
Once I got there, I made my way to my usual seat and sat down, taking out my notes and stuff. I came at the right time as I saw quite a few people already sitting and some still coming in. I started to become more comfortable with uni and everything in general. I spotted Jiya walk into the room. I smiled at her and she smiled back, making her way up to her seat next to me.
"Hey. How's it going?" Jiya said while taking out her stuff.
"It's going good. Nothing too interesting." I replied.
"Oh by the way, I'm going out for dinner with a couple friends to a nearby bar. I was wondering if you would like to come? I know, doesn't seem like your kind of thing but might as well give it a shot." She sounded really hopeful. To be honest, I wasn't going to even give it a second thought. I needed more friends considering my situation.
"Yeah! Of course, can't wait. I need to get out more." I replied, chuckling to myself. I really need to loosen up a bit and this was the best way to do it. And, it's an added bonus because I get to meet new people as well.
I am quite surprised by my new attitude towards things. I mean, I never expected to be so confident about going out with all these new people. I'm usually very shy but I feel like something's changed. It might seem far fetched but it's the truth. The way things are going right now when it comes to my socialising skills, I could've a bunch of new friends by the end of tonight. That's definitely something new.
"Yay! We're meeting in front of our dorm building at 8pm. We would have gotten dinner as well but Rohan and Anjali are busy doing something so I guess it's just drinks and dancing!" Jiya beamed.
"Rohan and Anjali?"
"Oh yeah, those are my other two friends that'll be there tonight. Trust me, you'll love em!" Jiya sounded very reassuring.
"Awesome. Can't wait" I smiled.
"Oh and one more thing. Dress to impress!" She whispered before turning towards the professor.
"Wait, what do you mean by dress to-" I whispered back but the professor had already started talking and there was no way I would start talking now.
The rest of the day was filled with some boring to quite interesting lectures. The day went on and I managed to spend it without being seen by Abhi or Aman. I was back in my dorm by 3. I had grabbed some essentials from the store and had then come back.
