If You Only Knew...

Chapter 3

Naina’s POV

I can't believe it. I never thought I would see him again.

"Hey, it's you! Look, I am so sorry for before. I know it was wrong to talk to someone like that but please forgive me. I am not usually like this." He said, getting up and offering his hand to me.

I usually hate his type. You know, guys who just hit on girls like they have no sort of self respect. Yet for some reason, because I am an idiot, I handed him my hand and I got up.

" Thanks. And it's okay I guess." I replied, smiling at him.  

" Let's restart this again, shall we? Hello, my name is Aman, Aman Malhotra. " He said, shaking my hand. He scratched the back of his neck, almost nervously.

"Haha. Hello, my name is Naina. Naina Talwar." I laughed, responding to the shake.

"Look, I’m really sorry for before. Would you like to join me for dinner? It's my way to say sorry." He asked sounding hopeful.

"Umm sure! I guess. I mean, what do I have to lose?" I replied, smiling back.

"That's always a great mindset." He said, scratching the back of his head.

"Oh snap! I'm sorry, I didn't realised I said that." I am such an idiot for saying that. Geez Naina!

"Haha, it's okay. Anyway, I'll pick you up in front of your block, around say 6:30? What block are you in?" He looked at his watch then back up at me.

" I'm in Block B. Sure, I'm fine with that." I pointed towards my block.

"Great! I'll see you then." He held my hand and kissed it before walking away.

I stood there, stunned. What had just happened? I cannot believe that I agreed to that! I walked back to my room, shocked. Couple of hours ago I hated him but now I’m having dinner with him tomorrow. Maybe I shouldn’t go. That would fix a lot of problems! But I can’t let him down.  That’s happened to me and it is not nice. Even more importantly, what was that kiss on the hand thing? Had I just let a guy come onto me? More importantly, am I that great that he actually did come onto me? I flopped onto my bed, staring at the ceiling. I was still stunned, actually more like shocked!

Aman's POV:

I kissed her hand and slowly backed away before turning myself around and walking towards my dorm room. To be honest, I was surprised Naina said yes after yesterdays ‘episode’. I need to be more careful when I hit on girls now.  She was so beautiful. Simply beautiful. Have you ever seen those types of girls? They aren't the conventional pretty, they are the simple girls. They can grab your attention at any moment of any day. That was Naina.

Her eyes were innocent yet there was a sense of mystery. They were captivating. Whenever she smiled, you could see it in her eyes. Whenever she smiled. I am yet to see her full fledged smile but what I have seen so far is amazing. Her lips smile. Its absolutely precious. Whenever she smiles, I light up inside.

I can't wait till tonight. This is my chance to woo her. At least to get her to trust me. I might be getting way too ahead of myself but I can't help it, she is that amazing.

I want to keep tonight as simple as possible. Not so simple that it is just casual but simple enough.I want to impress her.
