Fast forward to when Aman picks up Naina up for the dinner

Aman's POV:

I waited in front of Block B for Naina. For the first time, I was actually really nervous. I hope I impress her. I planned a dinner in front of the beach. It was only a 20 minute drive away and I rented a car so that we wouldn't have to take the bus or a taxi. I paced back and forth, going through everything in my mind to make sure nothing goes wrong. It isn't even the start of the term and I’m already stressing out. No one has ever had this effect on me, not even Jiya. I change my thoughts before they change my mood. As I look up, I see Naina walking out of the entrance. She was wearing blue skinny jeans, a white top with a long necklace with a red pendant and converse. Her long hair fell past her shoulder and sat just above the necklace. She looked so lovely.

"Hi! You look really nice." I walked up to her.

"Hey. Thanks. You don't look to bad yourself." She smiled shyly.

I laughed, giving her my hand, escorting her to the car park. .

"So...where are we going?" She asked, sounding quite nervous but interested.

"Don't worry. You’re going to have a blast! I have a couple of things planned." I said, giving her a reassuring smile.

"Ok but just saying. You are lucky that you've gotten this far with me. Actually, I'm lucky that you've gotten this far with me. No one has ever done this for me. Thank you, in advance." Naina said softly. She was looking down. It sounded like a word vomit to me. Did th

"Hey..." I stopped in front of her and turned so that I was facing her. "I guess we have to make this your best." I gave her a reassuring smile.

She smiled and giggled. Her smile was beautiful. Her teeth smile. It warmed me up inside that I could make her smile.

"Thanks" She said, looking me in the eyes.

"Save your thanks for after the best night in your life is over." I smiled at her and then guided her to the car.

I opened the door for her and only waited to close it once she was in completely. We then drove to Water's Edge, a restaurant opposite the beach. We did not stop talking the whole time. We laughed, playfully argued and even just sat there. It was great! We had some sort of connection. We then walked across to the beach and started walking along the shoreline. It had already started to become dark. We walked along side each other in silence. The waves crashed onto the shore as we strolled across. The gentle breeze blew her hair but it didn't seem to bother her. She had stopped walking and it took me a couple more steps to realise that I was leaving her behind. I turned back and realised she was staring at the ground. It was a different stare though. She looked sad, disturbed.

"Naina, are you okay? Was it something I said or did?" I asked, trying to lift her face up, concern showing on my face.

"Why did you do this Aman? A normal guy would have said sorry and made sure I said sorry back. But you didn't. You took me out to dinner and gave me a better night than I most probably don't deserve. Why? You barely knew me when you asked. You bothered so much...for me. I mean, look at me." She said, getting flustered. "I am such a loser. I am a weird girl who is barely noticeable. Yet you bothered. Why? You took the chance to waste a whole night on a stranger. Why?" Her eyes were getting teary.

"Hey, hey, look at me. Yes I took a chance. I agree, this is something no ordinary guy would do. But you are no ordinary girl. You are not a loser. You are an amazing girl. I learnt that tonight. I wanted to know you since the moment I laid my eyes on you. I wanted to be your friend and I still do." I said, taking her hand and sitting her on the sand.

"But you took so much effort."

"What's wrong with taking a little more effort than usual? Besides, I think I needed to after the incident on the train. I can't help but agree, it was a pretty idiotic move from my part." I chuckled and nodded to myself.

"Haha, yeah it was. " She giggled. Her smile reappeared on her face.

I got up and gave her my hand. She grabbed it and pulled herself up. We walked in silence back to the car. Even the car ride was silent but it wasn’t an uncomfortable silenc.I looked over once we were halfway through the drive. She had fallen asleep. She looked like an angel. A really cute and adorable angel. Once we had reached, I reluctantly woke her up.

'Naina...time to wake up." I shook her slightly.

"Mmmmm...let me sleep." She mumbled.

"What room are you in Naina?" I asked, resorting to my only option, carrying her to her room.

" B25...keys are in my bag." She said, eyes still closed.

I carried her out of the car, bridal style, and walked up to her room. Once we reached the room, I had to manoeuvre my hand so that I could grab her keys. I opened the door and carried her to her bed. I placed her on her bed, tucking her in. I wrote a note and left in on her bedside table.

You fell asleep while we were driving back last night. No need to say sorry. It's understandable because of the jam-packed day you probably had. Anyway, I hope you had a good sleep. Don't forget, you are worth it :-) I really enjoyed our time together and I hope we do it again. By the way, here is my phone number 6579 2698.

Aman.
