Naina’s POV

How did he have the audacity to talk to me like that?! I went and sat back in my seat. I put my earphones back in my ears but I wasn’t paying attention to the music. Ugh! He was so stupid, annoying and up himself! Absolutely disgusting! I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn’t realise there was only five minutes left. I gathered up all my things, making sure nothing is left behind because when it comes to me and travelling, I always end up losing or leaving something behind. As I got off the train, I glanced at the others that were getting off. I kept my eye out for that guy. After what happened, I wanted to avoid him as much as possible. I, along with most of the people that got off, walked towards the buses that the uni provides when it gets closer to the start of them term. I lined up with everyone else, and one after the other, groups of people got into the buses. There were two full buses, so myself and a couple of others stayed back and waited for the third one to arrive. The wait was probably in my list of top ten awkward situations. I didn’t know anyone and neither did anyone else. These were the situations that I get very anxious in, hence the reason why i always stick with my friends.

After the very silent bus ride, we drove into the uni. It was 2pm so the place was buzzing with people. I walked up to the front desk , greeting the middle aged lady.

"Hi, my name is Naina Talwar. I need my dorm room number and key...please" I said, smiling at the lady.

"Hello love. You are in Block B, room 215. So that is room 15 on level 2. Block B is on the other side of the campus. You can either wait for the minibus which will be here in twenty minutes or you can walk. If I was you , I would walk. It isn't that bad. All level ground just bit tedious to carry your luggage." She smiled, handing me the silver key with the letter B inscribed.

I thanked her and walked out of the building. I decided to walk as I only had a large suitcase and a duffel bag with me. As I walked through the campus, I saw all the different buildings, all home to the classes of different subjects. As I reached Block B, I realised that my life is going to change. I took a deep breath and walked through the entrance. A gust of cool air hit me. I went up the elevator to the second floor, and then walked down the hall to my room. I had requested a single room so that I could do everything my way without worrying about disturbing or annoying anyone else. As I walked into the room, on my left I saw a single bed , with a window next to the head of it. Frighteningly bare cream walls with a lone cork pinboard over a desk. Quite close to the door, there was an average sized wood cupboard, and another door leading into the small bathroom. I got settled, putting my sheets on the bed and clothes into the cupboard. I stuck a couple of photos on the cork board. One of with myself, parents and brother, one with Abhi and one of all my old friends on our last  day of school.

Once I finished unpacking, I went to explore the area. I still had one more day before Abhi arrived. I walked around the campus, looking at the different buildings. I wasn't looking where I was going. I bumped into someone, and we both fell to the ground with a thud.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" I said with a tone of annoyance in my voice.

" I should be saying the same thing to you!" He replied. His voice sounded very familiar.

Then it snapped. It's him!
