I cut Ty's pancakes and hand him the syrup. "Please be careful baby" I say grabbing an orange juice out of the fridge and sitting it beside his plate.

My mom hands me a plate and I sit at the island next Lani. "Good Morning" She says smiling.

"Good Morning" I say back. "You think we should wake the girls?" I ask referring to Mia and Ariel.

My mom made breakfast and everyone is here to eat except Mia and Ariel. It's actually pretty late which is why I asked.

Leilani shakes her head. "No, Ariel texted me this morning at like 6 letting me know to please not bother them at all" She says. "I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear from her for a few days once we get back"

I nod agreeing. The front door opens and soon Jess walks in and looks at me. "I need to talk to you" She says. "Hey everyone" She adds waving and smiling.

I get up and we go outside to my mom's deck. "What's wrong?" I ask as we sit at the table.

"I think I'm pregnant" She says with a blank face. "I don't plan on keeping it if I am" She adds.

I just look at her. "Why not?" I ask.

She looks at me confused. "Ma, I'm just now getting back on my feet and I have Ty, I think that should be my main focus" She says.

I shrug. "It's up to you, but you know your dad and I are here for you" I say. "You gone tell yo sister?" I ask just as Mia walks outside.

She makes a face. "Tell me what? And ma, Ariel want you" She says looking between me and Jess.

Jess rolls her eyes. "I'm pregnant but don't worry I'm not keeping it" She says.

Mia shrugs. "You ain't doing me no favors so I personally don't care" Mia says. "If you gone get an abortion don't do it to please nobody, do it cause you genuinely don't want another kid" She says. "Do you want an abortion?" She asks.

Jess shrugs. "It seems like the right thing to do" She says.

"Why?" Mia asks.

Jess makes a face. "I can barely take care of Ty, what ima do with another kid?" she asks.

Mia rolls her eyes. "Girl you grown as fuck, get yo shit together before them 9 months" She says. "I been told you I'd help you get a job or some as long as you stuck to it and handled yo business" She says. "As much as you get on my fucking nerves, I still love you and you know I'm here for you, just quit acting like you ain't got nobody and you out here by yourself cause you not, that's the shit that makes me not wanna deal with you" She adds. "My bad ma" She says looking at me.

I hold my hands up. Normally ion let all that cussing fly but thats the only way to get through to Jessica it seem like.

Ariel comes outside behind Mia. "I thought I told you to tell yo mama to come here?" She asks looking at Mia.

Mia makes a face. "I did, I was talking to Jess, what you want that's so important anyway?" Mia asks.

Ariel ignores her and looks at me. "You ready?" She asks.

I nod and get up. I look at Jess and smile. "As aggressive as her ass is, listen to her, we love you, we just want you to love yourself just as much if not more" I say kissing her cheek. I walk past Mia and pop her arm. "Chill out with all that cussing" I add kissing her cheek as well.

She sucks her teeth. "Yeah, chill out with allat" Ariel co-signs. Mia looks at her then at me before walking in the house.

I follow Ariel and Ty out to one of the trucks and she looks at me. "Wanna drive ma?" She asks smiling.
