Manvi had chosen to stay silent about whatever that led her towards the dark corridor. Those noises, that uneasy feeling of someone else with her as if leading towards somewhere... she knew it was not her imagination. Or was it?

She was herself confused and didn't want now Dabbu or any other - certain - unwanted person in her abode mock her about this thing. So after she ignored Virat and Dabbu's queries about her wandering around in the mansion in such a dead time of night, she quickly returned to her room and this time around checked twice if the door was bolted closed properly.

A sudden knock on the door making her jump when she was just about to turn around from it.

"Manvi, are you alright baby?" Virat's worried voice sounded from the other side.

"Everything's absolutely alright, Virat. And don't call me baby." Manvi said in a bland tone.

For some while there was silence but Manvi knew that Virat was still there, just that door was the barrier between them.

"You wouldn't let me in. Would you Manvi?"

His voice seemed so broken all of a sudden Manvi didn't know how to answer him. But it was necessary to let this barrier stay closed between them. She knew she had to harden her heart to save itself from further hurt.

"No."

She dropped herself to the bed not bothering to switch off the lights this time as his footsteps got fainter. She exhaled a resigned sigh staring at the ceiling. Not letting him in at that point, seemed equally painful to the thought of letting him in.

Tossing and turning on the bed endlessly Virat finally sat up and rushed to have a bath. The cold water wasn't by choice but Virat thought maybe that was what he needed at the moment to cool his head filled with negative thoughts. All the water in the mansion was being stored by some village boys everyday. Manvi had done good about this arrangement but Virat planned to better the water-system soon after when everything would be finally okay between Manvi and him. Resting his head back on the edge of the bathtub Virat sighed. Only of she accepted him, only if she would give him this another chance to make everything alright.

He just couldn't believe she talked about divorce last night. She thought he wanted an uncomplicated divorce from her. She thought he just wanted to save his money and properties from her. Running his hand hand on his head, moving away the wet hair from his forehead Virat lifted himself up from the tub.

Coming down the stairs and entering the dining space Virat noticed with a frown that his breakfast was covered with a plate. He looked around trying to have a glimpse of Manvi but she was no where to be seen.

"Where's your lady boss?"

Virat's question made Dabbu huff. He was coming out of the kitchen with a bowl of noodles while Virat motioned him to come over to the table in the midst of having breakfast.

"She's directing the workers behind the mansion. I think she wants a garden there but for that the little forest of overgrown plants over there must me gone. Your wife's seriously attempting to turn this haunting place to her home. The ghosts are so going to be pissed!"

Virat was out of his chair in an instant. Hell! He would be damned if Manvi was seriously thinking about making this crap of a place her home. It would mean she was not at all, not an inch budged from her decision of not returning with him.
