Chapter 20: The Day of the Dance

"Come on!"

"How long does it take to put a dress on!"

I was waiting outside my bathroom with Jada and Eliana. Skylar was in the bathroom  trying to put on her dress, and she was taking forever!

"I'm sorry! The zipper's stuck!" I heard her say.

Eliana groaned and tried turning the doorknob.

"Unlock the door Skylar!"

We heard the lock click. Eliana opened the door and gasped. Skylar had her dress on, all except the zipper.

"Help me!" Skylar pleaded.

Eliana went over to her sister and tugged on her zipper.

"Man, that is suck." She pulled harder.

"Guys, I have to pee." Jada said innocently.

I groaned. "Can't you hold it."

She shook her head quickly. "I gotta go now!"

"Fine."

We struggled out of the bathroom. Eliana was still tugging on her sister's zipper.

"Ellyse, help me!"

I grabbed the zipper and pulled as hard as I could.

"Yay! Finally!" Skylar cheered happily.

I sighed with relief. "Okay, so everyone's ready now, right?"

"We're ready!" The two sisters yelled.

I heard the bathroom door open. I turned and saw Jada running to us.

"Phew, sorry that took awhile."

We looked at her with wide eyes, realizing what she was hinting at.

"Wait why are you staring at me like-. Whoa whoa get your minds out of the gutter."

I laughed. "Oh okay. Sorry about that."

"Guys guys! You have to see this!" Jasmine came into the room.

"Come on come on!" She pulled us over to my bedroom.

I gasped. Izzy was sitting in a chair looking in the mirror, trying to put on mascara. And she never wears makeup. She looked great.

Her dress totally described her. She was wearing the light blue dress she bought from yesterday. The only difference was, it was decorated with pictures of video game characters. From Zelda to Sonic, from Bonnie to Octodad, you name it!

"Izzy I love your dress!" I said.

"I know right! Jasmine did a great job on the upgrade. Thanks dude." She gave Jasmine a hug.

"Hey since when do you wear makeup?" Jada said, gesturing toward Izzy's face.

She shrugged. "I don't know. Special occasion I guess."

Jada raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Are you sure? You aren't wearing makeup for a certain someone?"

She blushed. "Ugh no..."

"That's what I thought." Jada smiled.

"Anyways, is everyone ready to go?" I asked.

"Yep!"

"Uh-huh."

"Yeah."

"Yes."

"Awesome okay let's go!"

We all walked out the door to my car.

"Ellyse, Ellyse look!" I heard Eliana calling my name.

"What?" I said, as put my hand on the car's door handle.

"Please tell me that the tires on your car aren't flat!" She said worriedly.

I raised an eyebrow at her. Then I looked down at my tires. There were holes poked into them.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me! Who could've done this?!"

We all stood there silently. Until Izzy answered the question.

"The populars. It had to be them. Who else would do this?"

I shrugged seeing that she had a point. "Yeah, it could only be them."

I sighed. "What are we going to do now? We obviously can't use my car. My mom and dad took their car to go to the movies. What can we do?"

We thought about the options that we had. I didn't think we had any.

"I've got it!" Jada exclaimed. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

"Oh no. You better not be calling an Uber." Jasmine warned.

"I'm not, trust me."

She waited for the caller to pick up.

"Hey Jason? Um... can you do me a huge favor?"

Guys! This story is almost over! Yes yes I know you're crying in the comments. But don't worry there's gonna be a book two. I just haven't thought of a title yet.
