Chapter 22: Just Dance

I couldn't believe it. Actually, scratch that I kinda believed it. I mean we were talking about Josh here.

We all stared at Josh, some of us not believing what we heard. I looked over at Mitch, his face showed no expression.

Josh was sweating up a storm. All the pressure, I mean it was just so much to handle.

Just as I was about to see terrible pit stains, Josh spoke.

"I'm not proud of what I did, really I'm not. I guess I was kinda upset that every girl here denied to go out with me-"

"Whoa there." Jasmine interrupted. "Are you saying you went through all that trouble just because no one would go out with you?!"

Josh went silent. He slowly nodded his head.

"Wow, no offense dude, but that's just sad."

He frowned. "Thanks for lowering my self esteem Jasmine."

She rolled her eyes. "Drama queen." She whispered to me.

I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to hide my laughter.

"Shouldn't you tell Principal Storms about what you did?" Skylar asked.

Josh shrugged. "I'm not really sure if I'm ready to tell him."

"Come on dude. Be a man!"

"Fine I'll go and tell him right now."

Then he left to find Principal Storms. The rest of us stood there awkwardly, staring at each other.

"Why are you still here? Leave." Ashley said to us. "Well except for you Mitch."

"I think I'm gonna stay with them. Thanks for the offer though." He linked arms with me and we walked back to our table. Everyone else followed.

"Guys guess what!" Jasmine said excitedly.

"Did you get a puppy?" Izzy asked.

"I wish, but no. Guess again."

"Um you won money?"

"Again a very good thing, but no. I'll just tell you guys. Preston just texted me that he's coming here."

Her phone buzzed in her hand. She turned it on and looked at it. "Oh and he feels fancy since he's in a suit."

Mitch rolled his eyes. "Of course he is."

"Hey um, Ellyse?"

I turned around in my chair and Caden was standing there looking uncomfortable.

"Yeah? What's up?" I asked him.

"I was just wondering if we could have that dance, that you promised me."

Oops I completely forgot.

I nodded. "Might as well do it now."

Mitch stared at me confused. Oh yeah haven't told him yet.

I put my hand on his arm. "I'll be right back. Then you can have me for the rest of the night without interruptions, I promise." I whispered to him.

He nodded. Then I stood up. "Okay, let's go."

Caden grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor. Let's just get this over with.

I danced awkwardly to the music, glad that it wasn't a slow song.

"Listen dude, I'm only doing this for one song." I told him.

"Yeah, I know." He replied.

~Magical Time Skip~

The song was almost over, after what felt forever. Before it ended Caden pulled me away from the dance floor and out of the gym.

We stood in an empty hallway. All of the lights were off except for one, making it hard to see.

"What are we doing here?" I asked him.

He didn't answer. Instead he began to lean closer to me.

Oh no not again!

I pushed him away. "Caden, I told you this. I don't feel that way about you, okay?"

He nodded slowly. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried."

"Hey, you'll find someone else. I'm sure you will."

That made him smile. "I bet I will." Then he turned and walked back to the gym.

Glad I got that off my chest.

Feeling proud of myself, I walked back down the hall and into the gym to find Mitch.

I found him sitting down at our table watching the others dance.

I went over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, I'm yours for the rest of the night."

He smiled that amazing smile. He stood up and took my hand. "Well then let's hit the dance floor."

I giggled as he brought me over to the dance floor.

"I see you came to join us, and just in time too." Jada said as a slow song began to play.

I looked at Mitch. "May I have this dance?" He said in a British accent.

"Why absolutely!" I replied, putting my arms around his neck.

He smiled and put his hands on my waist. We swayed in time to the music.

I looked over his shoulder and saw all of my friends enjoying themselves. Eliana an Skylar were laughing about something with Jerome. Preston finally came and was chatting with Jasmine by the punch bowl. Izzy and Ian were having fun with Adam, Ty, and Quentin somewhere and let's not forget Jada and Jason making out in the corner.

Mitch turned my toward him so that I was staring deeply into his eyes. I felt my cheeks warming up as he kissed my forehead.

He leaned down toward my ear. "Remember when I fell for you?" He whispered.

(*Heart drops* Oh god. This was an amazing story to edit. Thank you Siv/Silver/SilverSouls for letting me be a part of this journey. She did an amazing job, don't you all think? C'mon everybody. Let's give her a hand. *claps annoyingly loud*. I think we all enjoyed this story very, very much. Thank you for making it and making me laugh super hard, and deciding to actually put me in the story. Oh, and by the way. If you ever make another story, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME BE THE EDITOR I HAD A BLAST DOING THIS! Oh, right. You probably have something to say to the people. Sorry, go ahead. Anyways.. Aww thanks Cloud love you buddy. Anyways I cannot believe that this story has finally ended!! I feel so accomplished.

Yeah that's right guys this story is over cue the crying and sadness. But wait there's more to come. I'm going to be writing a sequel to this story!!!!!! So look forward to seeing that in the future :)
