Chapter 3 - Meeting Lana

Nina's P.O.V

My mom comes rushing in to my room as I put my hair in a half up and half down style .

" We are going to be late " She says with her hands on her hips while watching me in the mirror .

" I am almost done " I said and then put on a layer of lip gloss . " How do I look ? " I asked turning around for my mom to see and she gives me a big smile .

" You look just like me when I was your age "she says clasping her hands and giving me a quick hug . "Now come on let'a go " She says leaving my room .

I quickly grab my phone and put on my jacket . My mom doesn't like to be late to anything so she is really strict when it comes to time .

I get in my dad's car and take a seat next to Jack as my mom is already in the passenger's seat . My mom puts on the radio as she talks to my dad . They will never stop talking to each other . After a while , my dad parks into the driveway that was reserve for him and we proceed to the feast .

As soon as I walk in , my mouth starts to water just by the smell of the food . I walk beside my parents as they give a bottle of wine to the Nathan 's parents , Bella and Greg . Bella opens her arms wide and crushes me in a bear hug as I give her a kiss on the cheek since she is like my second mom . Next , I give a hug to Mr . Hemsworth along with a kiss on the cheek .

" Thank you so much for coming " Bella says then crushes Jack into a hug ,too.

" We will always be here for you whenever you need us " My mom says laughing since it is not a big deal to cone here. They only live 5 minutes away from us .

My mom and dad ends up ditching Jack and I as they go and make conversation with the adults . I hold on to Jack' s hand until he sees his friends . Therefore , I am all by myself looking for my friends .

Nathan's house is just like mine but the windows are much bigger . It is hard to find people here . I remember how I used to just give up playing hide and seek with him since it was too hard to find him .

A servant offers me some wine but I just ask for Apple cider since I don't drink . I decide to text in the group chat asking where everyone is . After I get my apple cider from the servant my phone begins to buzz .

Briana - on my way

Nathan - in my house silly

Tina - obviously you are in your house since today is a special day

Drew - I am stuck in traffic with my parents

Levin - but you live right next door to each other

Drew - I know I am just late

Diana - of course

Me -I feel so awkward standing alone

Nathan - I didn't know you were here

Me - Well I am

I decide to sit on a stool near one of the cocktail table . There are servants with trays in their hands offering delicious appetizers . I casually take a creamy spinach keish and finally see Levin walking down the hall . I finally feel relief as I am not good at meeting new people by myself .

" There you are " I said taking one last bite of my Keish and getting up . I stood next to him as he kisses me on the cheek .

" I am excited to see what new dishes Mrs. Hemsworth cooked up " Levin whispers in my ear since it is getting noisier by the minute .

Levin takes a glass of wine and sips it . We walk around looking at all the decorations in the house .He put his arm around me as we stop to greet some people from school . Levin did most of the talking about football since all the girls were asking him questions about it .
" You guys are literally the power couple of our school . I love your relationship with each other . It is just so adorable " one mentions before leaving .
