Mari POV

Today's my recital! Today's the day I will let everyone see my violin talent for the first time!!
I'm sure father would be happy for me.

Today we don't have school because it will only be a recital day for the school musicians.

10:00am. I got out of bed and wore a dark blue dress that has lace strapless sleeves.

I wore my long black boots that reached up to my knees. I wore light make up; thin eyeliner, mascara, concealer, blush and light lipstick. I didn't need foundation since I was already pale-white.

I ran downstairs to see everyone dressed formally. Even Alyssa.

"You guys all coming?" I asked as I took a bite of my apple.

"Yeah." Mom squeeled.

"Okay." I nodded.

"Uhm, Mari, are your big curls natural?" Angela asked curiously.

"Well yeah. Got it from mom." I stated as I finished my apple and drank my jasmine tea.

"Cool." She smiled.

"Can I give you blue, violet and red highlights?" She asked.

I gave her a weird look but then nodded. She jumped and dragged me upstairs to her room. Letting me sit down on a chair. She grabbed a coloring iron and started to color very small sections of my hair on the right side blue, violet and red. Each has only one section. She then pinned two sections in front of me to the back of my hair, clipping them together with a small bow. She gave me a black chocker which I wore and she sprayed me with perfume. She even added a little bit of eyeliner to my eyes.

"Are you done?" I asked.

"Yeah!" She smiled. I gave her a smile and went to my room to get my sling bag and violin.

We all headed out to school.

The more the people arrived, the more I got nervous.

My palms were sweating. I took a deep breath and turned a glance at the crowd again. My family were at the front seats with the 7s on their back. Jan wasn't there though. I started to get worried.

"Hey, Ariana!" I heard a person shout at my back. I turned and saw Francis.

"Oh hey, Francis." I smiled.

"You're going to play the violin, right?" He asked.

"Yep." I smiled as I tuned my violin.

"Guess what?"

"What?"

"We're performing together! I'll be the piano! And you'll be the violin." He smiled.

"Who said?" I arched an eyebrow.

"The principal." He answered.

"Oh, okay." I nodded.

"The song will be-" I got cut off.

"Thinking Out Loud. Yeah I know." He smiled. I nodded and smiled back.
"Are you sure about this?" He asked as he sat on the table near me.

"Well.... Yeah.. Why?"

"It's your first recital ever. Even when we were still kids you haven't went to a recital yet." He stated.

"There's always a first for everyone." I smiled.

"I just noticed; you have become more mature and cold." He said.

"After father died I had been like this ever since." I said as I took out my bow.
