Jan POV

"I have to go see her." I muttered.

"Take it easy bro, we still have gym class then school is done. The 7s are coming too." Dwayne said as he zipped his gym bag.

"But they hate me." I whined.

"They don't... Some don't.." He muttered the last part softly but I still heard him.

"See!" I exclaimed.

"They're just disappointed that's all." He explained.

"Yeah.." I rolled my eyes.

As we walked to gym class I remembered the times when Mari would run to me and give me a goodluck kiss before going to her classroom. I smiled at the bitter moments.

Damn, I miss her...

"Okay everyone, we are going to play dodgeball. Boys vs. boys and girls vs. girls." The coach said. He announced all the team. I was with King and Vonn while Dwayne was with Keith and Sean.

I nodded and we all started.

I can feel the bad aura around Keith as he threw the balls to my teammates.

Soon Dwayne and I were the only ones left.

"Feels like Keith is not in the mood." Dwayne whispered beside me. We were down by two.

Keith and Sean the only ones left on the other side while Dwayne and I are here.

"Sure is.." I muttered as I dodged a ball Sean threw at me.

Dwayne threw a ball at Sean. Keith, Dwayne and I are the only ones left.

Keith growled and threw a ball at Dwayne.

"Goodluck, bro." Dwayne patted my shoulder as he sat on the bleachers.

"You broke her heart when I told you not to! You bastard!" Keith shouted as he threw a ball at me. I dodged it gracefully.

"Look, it wasn't my fault." I said as I threw a ball at him. He dodged it with ease.

"Yeah of course," He scoffed sarcastically.
"You chose to leave her. You made her happy on her birthday but broke her heart on the other. Did you know what happened when she knew that you and Alexis were to marry and her and Jared were to marry too? She called me and cried her heart out until she fell asleep that night. You broke her." Keith said as he threw a ball at me.

I froze.

My world was blank for a second until the ball hit my face and I fell.

Keith gave me a glare and walked out.

Dwayne ran to me and helped me up.

"Is it true?" I asked.

"Huh?" He asked.

"The night of the meeting... Did she cry?" I asked.

"She even called me.." Dwayne said as his head hang low.

I cursed under my breathe and ran to the changing rooms.

I changed and ran to my car to the hospital.

"Excuse me miss, where's the room of Mariana Tryanne  Flord?" I asked the receptionist.

"Oh Ms. Flord? She's in room 174. 4th floor to the left." She said as she smiled. I nodded and ran to Mari's room.

"I'm not taking that risk. No way." I heard Mikoto's voice in Mari's room.

"It's for the best, Miko. She could start anew." Merl's voice argued.

"But there could be a chancr where she could die." I heard Dwayne's voice. Wait what?!

What do they mean she could die?!

"If she's going to do surgery then it's either she could get amnesia, succeed or die." Derrick said.

"Or if we don't put her to surgery then nature will take it's course: she'll die." Francis?

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to go meet Mari.

I barged in the door. All eyes were on me as my eyes were fixed at the sleeping beauty in the corner.

"Jan?" Dwayne asked.

"Let's take her to surgery." I stated coldly.

"No way. She could die." Merl shook his head.

"But she could also live." Francis said.

"I'm not taking chances." Miko said as he eyed me.

"Let's take Mari to surgery..." We heard aunt Mira's voice from the back.

Aunt Mira was with Alyssa and Angela.

Hey guys! Sorry for the short chapter! I've been very lazy. I'm sorry. But at Thurday to next Monday I wouldn't exactly be sure if I could update since I'll be in Cebu and Bohol in those days. So I'll try my best to make more chapters before Thursday. And take note that I'm writing two stories so I would have a hard time. Anyways thanks for the views!
