Mari POV

It's Monday! Cleaning day! It means we get to wear whatever we want to school! Yas!

I practically ran to my bathroom and took a bath. I wore my makeup: eyeliner, mascara, foundation, concealer, blush and lip balm. I wore a white box crop top with black stripes at the sleeves, a black striped mini skirt and black boot-stilettos. I got my black backpack and brought a big, black coat with me. It is winter but today's not that cold. I left my hair as it was and walked downstairs.

"Hi, Mari!" Angela greeted.

"Hi Angela! I used your gift for me!" I said happily as I showed her the backpack I was using.

"Oh! That's awesome! Why so happy and positive today?" She asked.

"Nothing..." I blushed as I unconsciously fiddled with the ring Jan gave me.

"What's that glowing?" She asked as she pointed something in my bag. I gave her a confused look and opened my bag.

"Oh the crystal ball Jan gave me last Saturday." I said.

"Oh what does it do?" She asked as I ran to the fridge and brought out a container of grapes.

"I'll think of what a certain person is thinking and it will change color. The color will be the person's emotion. It's dark yellow now." I explained.

"Oh cool." She nodded.

I glanced at the ball again and brought out the piece of paper that has the color's meanings that Jan gave me.

Dark Yellow- Confused

Why would he be confused? Homework maybe? I thought.

"I'll get going now." I waved as I got a container that has my lunch in it and placed it in my bag together with the crystal ball.

"Bye!" Angela waved. I just smiled.

"Hey, Mar! So I was thinking; what should we do with that small house that the 7s were talking about making?" Fran approached my locker and asked randomly.

"I don't know. But I wanna have a tree house." I said casually without emotion.

Why do I always go back to my emotionless facade whenever I'm at school? I questioned myself.

"Yeah that would be c-" Fran froze.

"Fran? Uhm.. Hey? Franella? Oi! What's wrong? What are you staring at? Mia? Miaaaaaa? Mia Franella Collins!" I waved my hand infront of her face.

She snapped.

"M-Mari... I-I wouldn't look a-at ma-my b-back if I we-re y-you..." She stuttered. I gave her a confused look and turned my back but then Lourd and Gia already stepped in front of me as soon as I turned aroud. They both looked nervous.

"Hey guys. Uhm.. Mind to scoot over?" I asked.

"Uhh... No, nope! We're fine here." Gia said.

"Okay? Why are you guys so nervous?" I asked.

"N-nothing in particular. Just scared of our accounting quiz today..." Lourd said.

"We don't have a quiz today." I stated.

"We don't?! I totally forgot! I stayed up late all night just to study! Oh gosh!" Lourd faked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Something's up." I stated.

"W-what?" Lourd stiffened. I smirked.

"Move." I coldly said as I pushed pass them gently.
