Mari POV

"Mari?" I heard Jan call out.

I froze.

"J-Jan..." I muttered as I wiggled out of Keith's hug.

"W-what are you doing here?" He asked, terrified.

"Why didn't you come to my recital?" I asked back.

"Who's she?" The other girl asked.

"What's the meaning of this, Wood?" Keith asked.

"Non of your business, Stringley." Jan gave him a death glare.

"Why didn't you come, Jan?!" I asked.

"Wait- so this is Mariana?" The girl asked.

"Honey, Aris, let's talk about this later." Jan stated.

"'Honey'?!" I shouted in disbelief.

"Bae, I can explai-" I cut him off.

"Explain then." I challenged.

"I was supposed to be late because my parent's had to tell me something important. It took time, I was running to the auditorium when I heard Aris calling me. Then this happened.... Uhm... Aris was my first love." He explained.

"Okay, then why did you say that you still love her and even attempted to kiss her?" I asked more calmly.

"B-because..." He muttered, looking down.

"Because we're together." Aris finished.

"Aris." Keith warned.

"Wait- so you know her?" I asked Keith.

"She's my cousin." He stated.

"Ok." I said blankly.

"Mari, I can assure you; we're n-" He got cut off again.

"Save it. I don't wanna hear your lies anymore." I said as I walked back to the auditorium.

Seconds. Minutes. Hours. Days. Weeks.

It has been 4 weeks since my so-called-break-up with Jan. He said sorry and those stuff to me already but I didn't listen. What he did to me was unforgivable. Ever since that day I became depressed and colder than usual.

The 7s and I are still close to each other but I will still ignore Jan. And to come to think of it.... I'm kind of starting to like Keith...

"Ringgg ringggg!" The bell rang. Lunch time.

I grabbed my fillers, books amd bag and went straight to the cafeteria. I got my lunch and sat between Keith and Dwayne. In front of me was Jan and that Aris girl. I rolled my eyes as I saw Aris scoot closer to Jan when I glanced at them coldly. Jan was staring at me worriedly. I huffed and opened my filler to answer my assignment.

"How's the day so far?" Keith asked.

"Despite being seatmates with my ex, it's doing fine." I said, not breaking my focus on my assignment.

"Wait here." He smiled and whispered something to Dwayne from my back.

I took a glance at Dwayne's reaction and he looked over Jan and gave him a sorry look and nodded to Keith.

Soon Keith and Dwayne got up, following the Crimson 7.

"Attention everyone!!" Keith shouted. Everyone's heads and attention turned to him. Te cafeteria became silent.
"From now on, Mariana Tryanne Flord is now my new girlfriend! Who ever hurts her is my responsibility. So no one is allowed to take her from me. Or else." He threatened. My eyes widened.

Keith looked over Jan who looked like he was about to blow. He cursed under his breath multiple times as Keith smirked at him and sat again beside me.

"What was that?" I whispered.

"You're my girlfriend now." He smiled widely.

"And who said I said yes to you?" I arched an eyebrow at him.

"I did." He stated proudly.

"But seriously?"

"Don't worry, I won't let anyone steal you from me." He smiled.

"Ok." I nodded and continued to do my assignment.

"You should eat first. Here." He nudged and took my fork full of salad and placed it over my mouth.
"Say ahhh." He motioned. I arched an eyebrow at him again.

"Ahh?" I opened my mouth.

He smiled sweetly and made me eat my salad. I giggled.

"Ugh, get a room." Aris rolled her eyes.

"I'll be glad to." I smirked. I packed my stuff, grabbed my apple and my bottle of fresh milk then dragged Keith to the rooftop. Leaving my friends dumbfounded.

"What was that for?" Keith asked.

"I don't know.. I just felt like finishing my assignment here." I breathed and opened my filler to finish my assignment.

Keith took out a chocolate milk drink and started to drink it while looking at my assigment.

"Am I right?" I asked.

"Uhm.. No." He shook his head. I gave him a confused look.
"The answer's 154." He stated.

"Sorry, I'm not good at math." I awkwardly said.

"That's okay. I'm not good at civics." He stated.

"Oh.." I nodded.

I closed my filler and started to eat my apple and drink my milk. We leaned on the roof's railings as we stared at the view. You could see the whole campus.

"I'm serious." He suddenly said out of the blue.

"Huh?" I asked.

"I'm serious about you being my girlfriend. I love you." He turned to me.

"Oh.." I muttered.

"Do you love me back?" He asked.

"I..... Don't know.." I muttered sadly.

"That's okay. I'll teach you to." He smiled. I chuckled awkwardly.
