A/N
So much drama in school and I honestly don't have the mood to write the last chapter now. So much things to do. Projects, quizzes and exams.Anyways, this is the last chapter guys! I'm very nervous in what your reactions would be. LET'S GO!
-MaroeMari POV
I woke up with a heavy feeling within me.
I turned to look everywhere to know where I am... The hospital.
"Mari...." I heard a soft voice call.
"Mom?" I asked.
She was by the door, covering her face with her hands.
"I-I'm so sorry, sweatheart.." She mumbled as she began to cry.
"W-what do you mean, mom??" I stuttered.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save him! I couldn't do anything! I-I just watched him... I f-feel so useless! I failed my promise to your father... I'm so sorry! P-please forgive me!" She cried. Her eyes were red and puffy and her face was flushed.
"Who are you talking about?" I asked, worried and scared of what the answer would be.
"J-Jan's..... G-gone.." She choked out.
I just felt my whole world crash and fall.
There you go, Mar. The cruelest sentence a person would ever tell you. Your lover's gone..
I felt like reality slapped me so hard I fell mentally.
"Mom, please stop kidding around. Tell me the truth...." I warned.
"I-I'm so sorry, babe... But he is gone.." She cried again.
"I want to see him." I demanded.
"You can't..." Mikoto said behind mom.
Mom turned to Mikoto and I could feel her smiling sadly.
"Why can't I?" I glared.
I could feel the coldness in my voice.
So Jan just died and now you're going back to your old self? My inner scolded.
I guess she's right...
"The doctors are preparing him for his funeral." He stated... Sadly?
"I have the right to know." I glared with hatred.
"I'm sorry, sis.... You really can't.." Miko said sadly.
I grit my teeth.
"Okay." I stated coldly as I turned my gaze to the window. My eyes were blank, emotionless.
The heavy feeling on my chest is getting worse and worse by the second.
I still can't believe what had just happened- still can't get over the fact that he's dead.
My other half has died..
